The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that B&B offered birthday wishes to one of its longtime stars, Alley Mills (Pamela Douglas). That was an especially poignant message this year, considering the tragic loss of her beloved husband, Orson Bean (who appeared as Howard on the soap in 2016), earlier this year.
Mills and her husband were walking when Bean was struck by two cars, with the second incident causing the fatality. Mills and Bean were in Venice, California, when the accidents occurred in February.
The birthday message on B&B’s Instagram page reads, “Happy birthday to the amazing Alley Mills.” Blue heart emoji inserted. “Please join us in giving her some birthday love in the comments below.”
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Pam Douglas Arrives In Los Angeles
Mills’ B&B character was introduced as Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) sister. Pam was first seen caring for their mother, as part of a storyline that had Stephanie confronting a childhood crisis.
Pam and Stephanie’s sibling rivalry, along with Pam’s mental health challenges, were explored during this new character’s early years. Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) eventually became Pam’s foil, but more recently they made amends and even share a desk outside of Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) office.
As time passed, Pam and Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) became a likable, lighthearted couple. Their relationship endured and marriage appeared to be on the horizon, but hasn’t happen yet.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Orson Bean’s Appearance Memorable
As hardcore B&B fans recall, Bean appeared on two episodes of the show in 2016. He played a passenger, Howard, who sat in the aisle seat aside of Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), while they were flying back from Australia.
Clifton posted a photo of himself with Bean after Mills’ husband died in February. His comments revealed the depth of respect he had for Bean and the profound compassion he had for his castmate, Mills, due to her loss.
