The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers has some great news to pass on about the popular American sudser. The soap began airing in the UK again on Wednesday, April 15th, on CCX, Freeview Channel 23. This means that all the great drama surrounding the Forresters, Logans, and Spencers is now accessible to UK viewers!
CCXTV released a video promo on its Twitter feed announcing the launch that includes several B&B stars. CCXTV’s tweet reads: “The amazing Bold and the Beautiful cast have a message for all UK lovers of American soaps! CCX launches, Freeview 23, launches tomorrow!”
The video promo features Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra), Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), John McCook (Eric Forrester), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Forrester), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester), and Don Diamont (Bill Spencer). Each star says a few brief words to the camera and welcomes UK viewers to the B&B family.
B&B airs weeknights in the UK at 6:30 on Freeview 23, and it appears that the move is intended to possibly fill a gap for UK viewers that could occur when and if episodes of the UK soaps run out. As UK viewers know, there are only a limited number of episodes of Coronation Street, EastEnders, Hollyoaks, and Emmerdale left.
The first episode of B&B to broadcast on Freeview 23 was episode 7999, which is more than a thousand episodes behind the US broadcast of B&B. That means that B&B can run in the UK for an extended period of time, since it’s so far behind the US version of the show.
UK viewers have a lot of great drama to look forward to on the Bold and the Beautiful, which is set in Los Angeles and follows Forrester family and its family company, Forrester Creations. There’s plenty of love triangles, business drama, and interpersonal clashes to go around!
B&B had aired in the UK previously, but hasn’t been seen for a while, so this is a big return, and it comes after another US soap, Days of Our Lives, returned to the UK earlier in 2020.
