The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that there are some important updates to pass along regarding when the show may resume production. Governor Gavin Newsom has released guidelines about the reopening of the film and television industry. Although there are plenty of factors to take into consideration, it’s possible the B&B cast and crew could get back in the studio on June 12.
We’ve got the lowdown on these guidelines from the California Department of Public Health and what they really mean. First, they note June 12 as the earliest recommended date to resume production. That’s just the starting point, so many film, TV and music productions could get back up and running later than that.
Approval from county public health officers within the jurisdictions is also necessary. In order to give that approval, these health officers will need to look at local epidemiological data. They’ll be reviewing how many COVID-19 cases there are per 100,000 population, the positive testing rate, readiness for health care surges and more.
Naturally, the cast and crew will have to follow safety protocols along with any other workers in the industry. To prevent spreading illness, they’ll have to do things like social distancing and submit to the appropriate testing.
We all want everybody at The Bold and the Beautiful to stay healthy! The same goes for anyone else in this industry, so safety protocols are definitely a must.
Unfortunately, there could be a holdup when it comes to L.A. County. As Deadline reports, hospital capacity is a critical issue. There was a rise in the number of cases on June 5, which is when these guidelines were revealed. Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer had a message to deliver as a result.
“This has been a slight increase over the last three days in the number of people hospitalized and we’ll need to make sure that we’re not starting to see a significant increase in the number of people requiring hospitalizations,” Ferrer noted. Of course, that rise in cases could continue, so the situation is something to keep an eye on.
Nevertheless, The Bold and the Beautiful buzz suggests that the cast and crew have been contacted about preliminary testing before their upcoming return. Even if B&B doesn’t resume production on June 12, the fact that the film and TV industry is reopening is a good sign!
