Whether her marriage to Thorne Forrester (Ingo Rademacher) would have eventually ended is debatable. His choice to end their union reopened the door to Bill and the Batie family was revived.

Katie has returned to Bill on various occasions because he’s the main love of her life. She also has her only child, Will Spencer (Finnegan George), with him.
So, the referenced momentum shift can take place if Bill either falls into a mental funk, due to Katie’s choice to end their relationship, develops a serious health issue, as she’s had on more than one occasion, or Diamont’s character is in true danger.
The dynamic of a serious mental, or physical issue would create a hook that would provide months of plot. Alternatively, a realized dangerous situation, where Bill becomes a crime victim, would be a quicker way to immediately draw Katie’s interest and serve as a reminder that she loves the guy.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Batie Belongs Together Indefinitely
Just because B&B took a long time to write this couple back together and viewers invested month’s worth of episodes in the arc, doesn’t mean that Batie was intended to stay together. However, fans who support this couple surely think that they should get remarried.
As it now stands, Katie can’t logically think her way past Bill’s latest mistake. So an emotional event will need to take place that changes the trajectory of this storyline and rescues Batie’s future.
