The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that there’s some HUGE, long-awaited news for Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) fans. Steffy’s FINALLY getting a new man! Now we know what you’re thinking. You’ll believe it when you see it, right? It sounds too good to be true, but it’s indeed happening according to a new interview with B&B Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell.
Brad Bell spoke with Soap Opera Digest about his plans for the show now that it’s back in production. Although the actor’s name hasn’t been revealed, Bell assured fans that a new guy has truly been cast – and he’ll mainly be in Steffy’s orbit.
“Well, we have a new actor joining the show, a new character that will mostly be working with Jacqui Wood [Steffy],” Bell said. “We’ve already cast him but we haven’t announced it yet. We’re very excited about that. And a storyline for Steffy that should be really interesting, informative … it’s a bit of an issue storyline.”
The Bold and the Beautiful writers have really taken the time to work out a solid plan for Steffy’s future, which is great to hear. Steffy needs to be doing more than supporting other characters’ arcs and fighting over Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
Fortunately, Bell’s comments indicate Steffy’s getting a hot plot all her own. He went on to discuss more about the issue this storyline will tackle. “We’re getting back into taking on an issue that’s challenging in America and around the world,” Bell insisted. “We’re looking forward to getting right back into intense drama.”
Of course, there’s no word yet on exactly what this storyline will look like. The safety protocols on set will certainly affect any romantic plans for Steffy. Bell has talked about using some creative strategies to make it seem like characters are getting passionate, but that’ll probably be more for the established couples early on.
As for Steffy, she has to meet this guy and see what he’s all about first! There’s no guarantee this will turn into some epic love story, but Bell did offer confirmation that this actor would be working mostly with Wood. The potential for a new romance is definitely there.
