The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) new man will debut once new episodes hit the air again. B&B hasn’t announced the new actor yet or even revealed his character name, but there’s indeed a new hunk who’ll be working mostly with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood.
Until The Bold and the Beautiful divulges who this lucky guy is, his identity is a mystery that we can all ponder. This role is obviously a massive deal since Steffy fans have been very outspoken about their desire for a new love interest.
Many B&B viewers are fed up with Steffy and Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) never-ending battle over Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), so this guy provides an opportunity for Steffy to break free.
It’s reasonable to think The Bold and the Beautiful might’ve chosen someone quite different from Liam in terms of looks and acting style. They may also have gone for an actor with previous soap experience.
Again, this role seems crucial and will be a big part of the overall vision for the future of B&B. The Bold and the Beautiful may have gone after a big name with that in mind.
What about Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas Cassadine on GH, ex-Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives)? Could The Bold and the Beautiful give Christopher another chance on a soap?
Although Christopher’s battled some offscreen personal issues, those shouldn’t prevent him from seeking a fresh start on a new daytime drama. If Christopher’s worked out those personal issues and is ready to roll, he deserves another shot.
Christopher’s handsome, talented and someone who’s quite beloved in the soap world. There’s no doubt that Christopher would make an excellent B&B addition.
Christopher is 47, so some might consider him a tad on the old side to play Steffy’s love interest. However, Steffy’s been with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) before. Don Diamont is 57, so age doesn’t really matter here.
Christopher looks great and still has boyish charm, so he’d be a nice fit in this role. Plus, choosing an actor in that age range would make it so the character could easily be paired up with other women.
That’s important on B&B, which relies on love triangles and romantic shakeups so often. Steffy’s new man may not stay her man forever, so they have to think about the big picture.
