The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that a major character is returning, but he’ll have a new face when he pops back up. According to TVLine, the role of Zende Forrester Dominguez has been recast and will now be played by Delon de Metz. Zende was previously played by Rome Flynn, who departed B&B in 2017.
Although no first airdate has been announced for de Metz, it’s exciting to know The Bold and the Beautiful’s bringing this character back on canvas. Zende is the adopted son of Kristen Forrester (Tracy Melchior) and Tony Dominguez (Paulo Benedeti), so he’ll be tied to other crucial characters right off the bat.
Bringing a new actor on as a recast instead of a brand-new character can be a useful strategy. The Forresters will know de Metz’s Zende, so that’ll make it easier for fans to get to know him, too. It’ll be interesting to see why Zende comes home and what this means for Zende’s marriage to Nicole Avant (last played by Reign Edwards).
When Zende was last seen, he decided to head off to Paris and build a new life with Nicole. Of course, offscreen romances can get rocky! Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) and Rick Forrester (Jacob Young) divorced after their own offscreen relationship issues, so Zende and Nicole may be next.
Then again, it’s possible The Bold and the Beautiful intends to bring the character of Nicole back on canvas as well. There should be more announcements in the coming weeks, but there’ll be no shortage of lovely ladies for Zende if he’s single and ready to mingle!
As for de Metz, you might’ve seen him on shows like Teen Wolf, Girl Meets World, Zoo, Scorpion and NCIS. It looks like de Metz will make a great addition to The Bold and the Beautiful, so stay tuned to see how Zende’s return shakes things up.
