The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star recently spoke out about what might’ve been. If you follow Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) on social media and read most of the interviews he gives, you know that he really seems to see value in the Bill and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) pairing.
That ship appears to have sailed for now, but Diamont reflected on some steamy “Still” moments in the latest issue of SOD.
Back in 2011, Bill had an affair of the heart with Steffy that Diamont referred to as “truly an intense and passionate relationship.” Diamont insisted that it went beyond the flirty manipulation it started out as and became something far more intense.
In fact, Diamont argued that Bill would’ve married Steffy if it hadn’t been for one crucial thing: Katie Logan’s (Heather Tom) heart attack.
Bill was all set to walk away from Katie, but he just couldn’t leave her in that kind of situation according to Diamont. Even so, The Bold and the Beautiful star felt like Steffy would’ve become Bill’s wife under different circumstances.
Diamont insisted Bill’s feelings for Steffy were stronger than what he felt for Katie, but Katie’s health had to be the priority.
“Had it not been for Katie’s health issues, Bill almost certainly would have married Steffy,” Diamont admitted. He went on to talk about the diamond-encrusted sword necklace he had created for Steffy, which was a big deal for Bill and a symbol of how hard he’d fallen.
Diamont appreciated the chance to revisit Steffy and Bill’s romance in 2017, which is when Steffy betrayed Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) by sleeping with his father.
That was also a “real and passionate” story from Diamont’s perspective. Diamont suggested that once Steffy’s relationship with Liam was on the rocks, both Bill and Steffy just let the floodgates of desire open.
B&B fans know Bill’s the kind of guy who’s prone to waffle like his sons, so you never know if a “Still” reunion might happen someday. Regardless, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) had better treat Steffy right or else he’ll have to answer to “Dollar Bill” Spencer!
