The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) upcoming motorcycle crash will send shockwaves. Steffy’s storyline will pull in plenty of characters on new episodes starting Monday, July 20, but there’s one in particular we want to talk about: Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). Bill’s the one who’ll inadvertently collide with Steffy in his car and send her spinning out.
Let’s consider why B&B writers chose to make Bill to blame. The first reason is obvious since it makes more sense for a somebody to hit Steffy than a nobody! Having Bill hit Steffy is a far better idea than just some random driver.
Bill’s involvement will really rev up the drama – particularly since Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) already hates Bill over his betrayal with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). Once Bill nearly claims the life of Ridge’s daughter, that feud should get even worse.
There’s also Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), who may have some harsh words for Bill after this accident. Liam’s definitely going to care when he realizes Bill hit Steffy – Liam’s ex-wife and the woman he shares a daughter with.
However, there could be another reason besides all the conflict potential. Will Bill’s role in this accident reawaken his feelings for Steffy? Tanner Novlan is headed to B&B as Steffy’s new man, Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be the only one interested in her.
Bill has proven that he’s about as bad as his waffling sons, so he may stay true to Spencer form and fall for a former flame again.
There’s no indication that Bill will be mixed up in Brooke’s storyline with Ridge and Shauna Fulton (Katria Bowden) at all. Katie Logan (Heather Tom) doesn’t seem ready to forgive Bill anytime soon. Steffy could mostly be the woman Bill focuses on after the accident.
As Bill battles guilt and loneliness, it might morph into renewed love for Steffy. At least Bill could think that’s what it is! Almost losing someone is a common way to reignite feelings on soaps, so that could be a tactic The Bold and the Beautiful uses here.
Finn’s going to win in the end, but Bill might fight for Steffy in the meantime. B&B enjoys pushing love triangles so battle between Bill and Finn could be fun.
It’d be simple to set it up since Bill may be barking at Finn in the aftermath of the crash. Perhaps Bill won’t think Finn’s doing enough to help Steffy early on.
Whatever the case, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say some romantic bombshells are brewing. Since it looks like Bill’s world will revolve around Steffy for a while, could that lead to old feelings resurfacing?
