The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Thursday, May 7, reveal that viewers saw an episode featuring the wedding of Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) that originally aired on January 8, 1991. Prior to the wedding, Katie Logan (Nancy Sloan) walked into the dressing room where Brooke was getting dressed. Katie said that Thorne Forrester (Jeff Trachta) was sick and that Ridge Forrester (Ron Moss) was filling in for him as best man.
At the ceremony site on the Forrester lawn, Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) and Storm Logan (Brian Patrick Clarke) noted that the wedding was getting a late start. Taylor wondered where Ridge was, and Storm said he was over there with the groom. Taylor was confused, noting that Thorne was supposed to be the best man.
The wedding commenced, and the bridesmaids walked down the aisle, followed by Storm and Brooke. The camera flashed to Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), who looked upset. Margo Maclaine (Lauren Koslow) looked upset as well. When Storm and Brooke reached the altar, Storm and Ridge shared a tense look.
Brooke then joined Eric at the altar and the officiant started the service. Eric and Brooke said their vows and exchanged rings, with Brooke and Ridge sharing a glance as Ridge handed the ring over to Eric. With Stephanie and Ridge both looking glum, the officiant declared Eric and Brooke husband and wife.
At the reception, Eric and Brooke enjoyed cake, and Ridge poured champagne for himself and Stephanie. Ridge proposed a toast, saying that Eric and Brooke were the best, and may they forever be as happy as they are today. “I love you both. We all do,” Ridge said. Everyone cheered.
Elsewhere, Taylor and Storm talked about how lovely the wedding was, and Taylor chided Storm for saying something kind about Ridge. Later, Taylor had a moment with Ridge. Taylor asked Ridge how he was holding up and Ridge said, “All my women are falling by the wayside, either married or engaged.” Taylor joked that maybe Ridge needed her services as a psychiatrist.
Ridge asked Taylor what she’d prescribe, and she said a “strong dose of something.” Ridge said, “You know what I could use a strong dose of now?” Just then, Storm appeared and shooed Ridge away by telling him, “don’t say it.” Taylor reminded the men where they were.
Eric and Brooke then danced, while Storm and Ridge glared at each other. Stephanie still looked upset. Outside, Felicia Forrester (Coleen Dion) asked Stephanie if she wanted more champagne, and Stephanie declined. Felicia said that Stephanie did beautifully today, and Stephanie said, “I’ll say a special prayer that you never end up in my shoes.”
Back in the dressing room, Brooke got changed into clothes for the honeymoon, and in another dressing room, Eric changed as well, with Ridge’s help. Everyone reconvened in the main room and discussed where Eric was taking Brooke for their honeymoon. It was all a surprise, and Eric led Brooke outside, where she saw a huge hot air balloon in the yard. Ridge gave Eric a map, and Eric and Brooke climbed into the balloon together.
The balloon took off and flew over Los Angeles. Eric and Brooke smiled at each other and kissed, and Brooke asked if Eric knew how to fly the balloon. Eric said all he needed was the map, which he promptly tossed overboard as the balloon sailed on.
