The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is going to get some additional input on her ongoing pain management. As B&B viewers know, Steffy talked with her doctor, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) about getting a second refill on her prescription pain meds, and he agreed that she could continue on with the medication due to her severe and excruciating pain.
Finn did, however, caution Steffy to be careful with the meds and she promised that she would be.
Of course, B&B viewers also know that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) got involved in the situation as well, simultaneously worrying about Steffy’s intense pain and questioning her doctor’s wisdom in prescribing one refill of the meds.
Steffy, who doesn’t at this point seem to be addicted to the meds and has reluctantly take them as prescribed, basically told Liam that her doctor was in the best position to know what she needed and didn’t need, and one would think that this would end the discussion.
But according to B&B spoilers, it looks like Liam will head home and share his concerns about Steffy’s refill of meds with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle). That will apparently lead Hope to go over to Steffy’s for a visit, and we suspect that the topic of Steffy’s use of the pain meds will come up.
Given Hope’s continual concern for “the children,” it’s likely that we could see a situation in which Hope questions whether Steffy is fully able to care for Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray) right now.
That may open up a new word of conflict between Hope and Steffy. Steffy prides herself on being a strong single mom, and she’s probably not going to take well to Hope or Liam’s insinuations that she isn’t capable of caring for her own daughter right now.
Of course, Hope and Liam probably won’t mean anything sinister by their concern – they may just want to help Steffy out by taking Kelly for a night or two and giving Steffy some time to heal.
However, if Hope and Liam appear to be getting judgy about Steffy’s decision to take prescription pain meds, then Steffy might have a real problem with that.
Might we see a battle between Liam and Steffy over where Kelly should be staying right now? Steffy probably isn’t going to want to be away from her daughter if it’s not totally necessary, and she might resent Hope and Liam’s concern.
We should note at this point that it hasn’t been revealed on the show at all that Steffy has misused her pain medications in any way. That could happen in the future, but it seems that so far, Steffy has taken her medications either on time or a bit late because she hasn’t wanted to take them.
It surely can’t be that unusual for people who have been in severe accidents to get one refill of pain pills, so at this point, Hope and Liam’s concerns, assuming they have them, would seem unfounded.
Of course, going forward the situation could turn, and if it does, and Steffy does start to have some difficulties with the medication or misuses the pills in some way, then Hope and Liam may indeed feel the need to step in and remove Kelly from the situation.
That would be a real mess, with Steffy probably fighting it all the way. We’ll see how far this situation gets and whether the issue of where Kelly’s living becomes an issue.
