The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is heading toward a romantic relationship with Dr. John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). B&B’s newest character has taken a personal interest in his patient, with his claimed proximity to her home serving as the vehicle that furthers interaction between this duo.
Finn is being presented to the audience as a nice guy, who Steffy has taken an immediate shine to, with the doctor seeming to reciprocate her caring feelings. So, will this apparently logical setup lead to a full-blown romance, including an extended period of time together, and possibly marriage down the road?
Sure, that could easily happen, or Finn could be written to villain status.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Good Guy’s Finish First
The subject header directly counters the belief that some people hold that good guys, like Finn appears to be, finish last. That’s not actually the case, as Eric Forrester (John McCook), the Spencer brothers, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), and various others, except for Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), demonstrate. No explanation about Bill and Thomas is needed for B&B devotees either, so let’s move on.
If Finn proves out as a decent person, then Steffy has nothing to worry about. As a matter of fact, she’ll be in great hands, both medically, and personally for the foreseeable future.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Daytime Is About Drama
B&B could keep Finn as a good guy, but add needed spice by having Steffy’s relationship itself be countered by other people. Clearly, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will weigh in on Steffy’s new significant other, assuming this projected pairing deepens into that reality.
Lope itself, as led by Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), has already had something to say about Steffy’s obviously fragile state. Noelle’s character is genuinely concerned about Steffy and will certainly let Liam know her take on this issue.
Liam is committed to Steffy, as the mother of his first child and as someone who holds a unique place of importance in his life. So, the building tension might not be about Steffy and Finn squaring off against Hope and Liam, but more about Lope’s relationship being tested if Liam sides with Steffy.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Finn Has A Secret?
If Finn is a cloaked villain, then this setup has been presented extremely carefully. An assumed bad guy reveal would need to be written extraordinarily well so that it would be believable.
Alternatively, if Finn is revealed to have some dark criminal secret, or has experience with his own prescription addiction issue, then that would make for good soap.
Separately, while he has been supportive to-date, might Finn become overly protective of Steffy, which she would push back against?
That reasonable storyline wouldn’t make Finn a bad guy, but would create the opportunity for conflict between the couple, as well as between Finn and Kelly Spencer’s (Avalon and Colette Gray) father, along with Thomas and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
