The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers has some sad news to pass along about a former B&B star. Kim Matula, who portrayed Hope Logan on the CBS soap before Annika Noelle took over the role, recently shared with her social media followers that her beloved cat, Indy, passed away. Kim has been dealing with the grief of the terrible loss and was away from social media for a while.
But now she’s back, and she took to Instagram to share what had happened with her friends and followers. She posted a video of herself with Indy, as well as several other photos of the beautiful cat, along with the following caption: “Hi guys. Clearly, I’ve been absent from Insta for a while. I’m sorry for ghosting but I just needed to take a little break.”
She continued: “A week before Thanksgiving, my baby, my Indy, passed away very unexpectedly. I know there are people who won’t understand the depth of this loss and that’s okay. But the bond he and I shared was much deeper than just a pet. He was truly an extension of me. Of my heart. He was my healer, my safe place, and a constant joy in times when it was hard me for me to find any.”
She concluded by saying: “I miss him beyond words and still grieve for him every day. I was really not prepared to lose him. Today is his birthday. He would have been 5. I love you, baby boy.”
Of course, anyone who has lost a beloved pet knows the kind of pain and sadness that comes with that loss. Several of Kim’s followers have responded to her post with their condolences and understanding, with many of them saying that they have experienced similar losses and that they empathize with her.
For example, one follower commented: “Sweet pictures. So sorry for your loss. I completely get it. The loss is absolutely the equivalent to losing a human family member.” And another said: “My baby, Mr. Grieco, unexpectedly passed in my arms last month. I was not prepared. I know your loss – I’m so very sorry.”
If you take a look at the photos that Kim posted (which you can view below), you’ll see that she and Indy were particularly close. Several of the photos are of the two of them cuddling and showing their deep affection for each other. And if you go to her Instagram feed, you’ll find lots of past photos of Indy as well as her other animals and foster animals.
