The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that we could see the first signs of “Lope” trouble on upcoming episodes. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) are remarried, so they’re counting on a bright future. However, this is a soap – and no one really lives happily ever after on those! It’s only a matter of time before Hope and Liam’s relationship takes some hits.
How will “Lope” start struggling as new episodes continue? One way B&B could bring some added stress is through kid chaos. The Bold and the Beautiful fans know Liam and Hope took in Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), who was manipulated repeatedly by his father, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
It’s great that Douglas can rely on Liam and Hope as stable role models, but Thomas will reenter the picture during the week of August 3-7.
Although Thomas seems to have spent time reflecting and could perhaps believe Douglas is better off with “Lope,” there’ll still be opportunities for tension. Just having Thomas around again presents the possibility of more problems.
If Liam and Hope remain the primary caregivers for Douglas, they’ll really have a full house soon. Hope and Liam also have their daughter, Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez), to take care of.
Liam spends quite a bit of time with Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Colette Gray) already, but there’s no doubt that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) does most of the raising.
However, Liam may be on Daddy duty more often now that Steffy’s been injured. Steffy’s recovery will take a while, so Liam and Hope may step up until she’s back to her old self. Since Steffy may battle a drug addiction eventually, there’s another angle B&B can work for drama’s sake.
Steffy will need time to recover from that as well, so Hope and Liam may be on their own while Steffy works through her issues. With Douglas, Beth and Kelly on a full-time basis, Liam and Hope could be stressed to the max.
They may clash over what’s best for Kelly, especially if Steffy’s temporarily out of the picture as Kelly’s mom.
It’s easy to imagine Hope overstepping somewhat due to her strong maternal instincts. Liam may feel like Hope’s trying to shove Steffy aside, but Hope might feel like she’s just fighting for Steffy to get better. All of this could add up to growing “Lope” conflict and put their marriage in jeopardy down the road.
