The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, March 9, reveal that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) reeled from Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) news that her kiss with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was planned by Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). Steffy told Hope that she knew that what she did was wrong, and that she had to come clean, so that Hope would know just how far Thomas would go.
Hope fumed, saying that Thomas wasn’t the only one who hadn’t moved on, and she even brought up the Gondola incident from years ago. Steffy said that she wanted to believe in her brother, and that she wanted to trust him, but that she knows now that what she did was wrong. She said that they needed to tell Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) about this, although she might not be receptive to the information.
Liam then asked Hope to look at him, and he said that they could be a family again – with both Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). He said that he was sorry that he hurt her when he kissed Steffy, but that he had proposed to her and he meant every word. He said that the four of them deserved to be a family.
Liam went on to say that they could take down Thomas together, then they could protect Douglas. Hope asked what Liam was asking, and he said that he was asking her to marry him – all she has to do is say yes. Hope said yes, that she loved him and wanted forever with him. They embraced, and Liam was thrilled, while Steffy smiled from afar.
Meanwhile, at Hope’s cabin, Thomas and Douglas talked about becoming a family with Hope. Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) then showed up, saying that Thomas must have things to do to get ready for his wedding tomorrow. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) then arrived, looking for Brooke. He greeted Douglas heartily and gave Thomas a chilly reception.
Thomas and Douglas took off, and Bill asked Brooke if it was true that Thomas and Zoe were getting married tomorrow. Brooke answered affirmatively, and Bill said he didn’t believe the wedding was genuine, and that anyone who does is a fool. Brooke then lamented about how lonely she felt, feeling like the only voice of reason in this whole mess. Bill took her hands and said that he’ll always be her friend.
Bill then said that just because they weren’t together anymore doesn’t mean that he won’t still care about her. He said that they didn’t do marriage well, but they did a good job taking care of each other, and that he’d take care of her until the day he dies. He said that he was sorry that Brooke has been feeling so alone lately.
Bill listened as Brooke said that she just worries about Hope, then he said that if Ridge won’t protect her and Hope from Thomas, then he will. They hugged, then kissed passionately, with someone outside the cabin looking in at them.
Next, in the Forrester CEO office, Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) brought Ridge some coffee. He was happy to see her, and she said that she heard that Thomas’ wedding was actually happening tomorrow. Ridge said that it was a relief and that maybe some people would stop being so suspicious after the whole thing was said and done. He noted that Brooke said she’d forgive Thomas after the wedding, but that he wasn’t sure that she was capable.
Shauna told Ridge to hang in there, and that the wedding might change everything. Ridge noted how optimistic Shauna always is, and how that’s nice. Shauna reminded him that if he’s meant to be with Brooke, then it will be that way. She also told him not to forget how special and hot he was before she left. Ridge smiled.
Meanwhile, over in Thomas’ room at the Forrester mansion, Thomas talked with Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) via phone. He noted that he had already designed a wedding dress for Hope and that it’s for when they get married again. Suddenly, Zoe appeared at the door and Thomas hung up with Vinny. Zoe wondered what he meant when he said something about being married again.
Thomas covered, saying that he wanted them to renew their vows on the beach during their honeymoon. Zoe said that she loved the idea, but when they hugged, she looked worried. She then took off to go meet with Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) about wedding plans. Later, Thomas sat alone in his room and daydreamed about his last wedding to Hope.
