The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, November 9, reveal that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) reeled as the Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) mannequin told him to go after Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and save Hope by killing Liam.
“You need to get it done – eliminate Liam once and for all,” the mannequin said. Thomas asked the mannequin why she was saying these things, and the mannequin reiterated that Thomas needed to get rid of Liam.
“You’re not Hope. You’re someone else. WHO ARE YOU!!” Thomas yelled. “You know exactly who I am. Everyone suffers because of Liam,” the mannequin said.
Thomas agreed with the mannequin, who went on to reference something that the real Hope had said about things being difficult with Liam. “How do you know that?” Thomas asked the mannequin.
The mannequin said, “Because I am Hope…Hope for now. I’m here for you, Thomas, until the real Hope comes to take my place.” Thomas looked tortured and horrified.
The mannequin asked if Thomas loved Hope, and he said that he did. “But she doesn’t love me, or want me,” Thomas said. “You’re wrong, she does want you. I know, I’m Hope, too,” the mannequin said. “Take control. All you have to do is get rid of Liam.”
Meanwhile in the Forrester CEO office, Hope told Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that she didn’t have a problem with Liam spending time with Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray).
Just then, Liam burst in the office all upset and breathlessly told Steffy and Hope about the mannequin in Thomas’ apartment. Hope surmised that it must be the mannequin that Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) was looking for.
Hope and Steffy acted nonplussed in response to hearing about the mannequin, and they seemed to buy Thomas’ story. Hope even said that Thomas’ designs had been above and beyond lately, and that maybe a mannequin would come in handy.
“We can’t be quick to judge,” Hope said calmly, prompting Liam to wail, “Are you kidding me?”
Hope went off on Liam, saying that Liam thought that everything Thomas says is cause for suspicion. Liam was incredulous that Hope was taking this stance, and as she was ranting, she mentioned that she had asked Thomas to be a part of Hope For The Future again. “What? Are you serious!?” Liam yelled.
Hope then yelled back, asking Liam why things just couldn’t stay pleasant, and she said she was going to see Thomas to tell him the same thing. “You can’t do that!” Liam cried, but Hope left anyway.
Afterwards, Liam did his best to convince Steffy that Thomas was still obsessed with Hope, but Steffy said that she was siding with Hope on this one.
Liam griped that Thomas was trash talking to John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), and Steffy said that she’d talk with Finn about the situation. “Try to have a little faith in the possibility that Thomas has changed,” Steffy urged, and she went onto say that Liam was being melodramatic.
“He has a mannequin in his apartment with the face of my wife,” Liam insisted. “If that doesn’t scream obsession, I don’t know what does.”
Back at Thomas’ apartment, Hope knocked at the door and Thomas hid the mannequin. Hope barged in and Thomas calmly walked in from the back room. Hope said that she knew about the confrontation with Liam, and that she was sorry about that.
Thomas seemed off, and Hope asked if he was ok. “I assume Liam told you about the mannequin?” Thomas asked.
“I told Liam to try to give you the benefit of the doubt,” Hope said, before asking to see the mannequin. Thomas then explained that he had the mannequin for his design work, and that his work had improved recently, probably because of the mannequin. “Can I see it?” Hope asked.
Thomas went to get the mannequin, and Hope stared wide-eyed as Thomas walked out with the mannequin in tow.
As Thomas watched, Hope walked right up to the mannequin, then she walked around it. Thomas then envisioned the mannequin coming to life and saying, “Take her now. She wants you.” Thomas looked horrified.
