The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the CBS soap has offered a sneak peek at what really happened that fateful night in Vegas! B&B fans know Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) got so drunk that he doesn’t remember what went down.
However, Ridge and Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) were seen kissing outside a wedding chapel, so that was the first clue about what’s ahead.
During the week of August 3-7, Shauna will return to Los Angeles and bring some shocking news with her. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Ridge and Shauna got married in Sin City – and viewers will actually get to see a fake flashback of the nuptials.
Access Hollywood provided that sneak peek we mentioned, which offers a glimpse at some of the challenges B&B’s facing with the new safety protocols. The video shows an area that’s set up to look like a tiny chapel.
There’s a mannequin where the officiant should be – and Denise Richards’ husband, Aaron Phypers, is used as a stand-in for Thorsten Kaye.
Fortunately, Phypers could almost be Kaye’s twin! The Bold and the Beautiful got lucky since Richards’ real-life hubby looks so much like her onscreen love. When Ridge is invited to kiss his new bride, the result is definitely believable.
The lip lock naturally looks a bit awkward due to the weird angles they’re forced to use, but it’s still a job well-done considering everything B&B’s up against. As for the officiant, he’s inserted later to make this wild Vegas wedding complete.
Another part of the video shows Richards talking to a mannequin for a new scene at the Forrester mansion. Kaye can be seen doing the same – except his mannequin partner is given a wig to look a bit more feminine. Richards repeats her lines offscreen from a safe distance so that Kaye can react.
The Bold and the Beautiful puts the two versions together so it looks like two people having a normal conversation once the scene hits the air. “Do you remember now? The wedding…the little chapel…” Shauna says in the clip.
It sounds like Shauna will think back to the night of their wedding and explain it to set up the flashback scene. When Shauna’s done, she’ll hope she jogged Ridge’s memory.
It doesn’t look like that plan will work, but the wedding certificate Shauna shows off next will convince Ridge this is real.
