The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that the jig will eventually be up for Shauna Forrester (Denise Richards) and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer). Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) has been duped by Quinn and Shauna’s marriage scheme, but the truth has to come out sooner or later.
What does that mean for Ridge’s romantic future? The answer may not be as simple as it seems.
For starters, Quinn will keep plotting to push Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) in Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) direction. There has to be a reason for that.
Something may happen that further convinces Ridge of “Brill’s” undeniable connection. Whether Bill and Brooke heat things up again or Quinn just makes it seem that way, Ridge may believe a reunion with Brooke would only mean heartache.
Plus, we have to look at the motive behind Shauna’s plot with Quinn. Shauna’s deeply enamored with Ridge and wants a future with him so badly that she’d scheme like this to get it.
Unlike Brooke, it’s not a matter of Shauna drifting toward someone else. It’s about Shauna wanting Ridge so much that she’d push the competition out of the picture – with Quinn’s help of course.
In fact, Quinn’s role in this could be quite crucial. In the end, Quinn may end up getting most of the blame.
Ridge is bound to be angry with Shauna when the real story comes out – including the part where she texted Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) about the divorce papers. However, that’s nothing Ridge can’t get past once he cools off.
Shauna’s lies and partnership with Quinn are going to be a problem, but everyone knows how Quinn operates. It’d be easy for Ridge to mainly hold Quinn responsible since she absolutely loathes Brooke. That’s especially true if Ridge’s feelings for Shauna have grown by then.
Shauna may make a powerful speech about her love for Ridge and beg him to give her another chance. It’d be a real curveball if Brooke or someone else exposes Shauna only to have Ridge forgive the scheme in the end! Ridge might ultimately determine that he’s happy with Shauna – no matter how they came together.
Another great reason for things to turn out this way involves something behind the scenes. Denise Richards’ husband, Aaron Phypers, is a fantastic stand-in for Ridge.
It’s barely noticeable when B&B swaps Phypers in for Kaye. That’s much better than putting a wig on Lang’s real-life partner or forcing Kaye to laugh his way through kissing a Brooke mannequin!
It just makes more sense to keep Ridge and Shauna paired up while these safety protocols are in place. Plus, it’s clear that The Bold and the Beautiful views Denise Richards as a big “get” for the show. They may want to keep Shauna front and center – driving the story with one of B&B’s main leading men.
All of this could add up to a shocker for Brooke once Shauna’s exposed. Will Ridge find forgiveness in his heart and stick with his new wife? Will Ridge choose Shauna anyway and leave Brooke devastated? We’ll keep you in the loop as other B&B news and updates emerge.
