The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that a major love triangle will take center stage in upcoming episodes. B&B fans know Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) love life has become a bit messy! After Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) betrayed him by kissing Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Ridge found himself caught up in a Vegas adventure with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards).
That led to Ridge getting blackout drunk and apparently marrying Shauna, although no one knows for sure if that wedding will hold up legally. Brooke eventually made sure Ridge was dragged back to Los Angeles, but Shauna opted to stay in Vegas and told Ridge goodbye.
Nevertheless, Ridge clearly has feelings for Shauna – ones that won’t go away anytime soon. There’s also a seemingly unbreakable bond between Ridge and Brooke. B&B always tries to sell Brooke and Ridge as each other’s destiny, but Shauna provides a fresh start that Ridge may desperately need.
Who will Ridge choose, Shauna or Brooke? The answer may be both or neither depending on how you want to look at it – at least at first! It looks like Ridge will be quite torn between his loves based on some new Bold and the Beautiful spoilers.
Denise Richards recently did an interview with the Associated Press, which was shared in The Washington Post. For starters, Richards confirmed that she wasn’t worried about getting back on set following the shutdown. There are tons of safety protocols in place, so Richards was simply excited to resume filming. The B&B star felt it was time to get everything going again.
“It’s important to move forward and move on,” Richards said. “And we have to get back to work.” Richards also talked about her real-life husband, Aaron Phypers, serving as a stand-in for Ridge. It turns out Katherine Kelly Lang’s real-life partner is also being used as stand-in.
“Katherine Kelly Lang’s husband was there on my first day (as a stand-in) and then next week both he and Aaron will be there,” Richards said. “So her husband has a wig. Aaron’s hair is very similar to Thorsten’s.”
There are some interesting clues to consider here. We should note that the purpose of these stand-ins is to put them in intimate scenes. Whenever a scene calls for touching or kissing, the actor is swapped out for a real-life partner if possible. Otherwise, the show has to use mannequins.
Based on what Richards has revealed, Ridge will get steamy with Brooke AND Shauna when new episodes return. Of course, no one knows just how steamy! It could just be kisses with these lovely ladies at first, but the point is Ridge probably won’t be making a firm decision on either one of them yet.
It’s possible Ridge will start to remember details about his wild night in Vegas – like getting married at that all-night chapel. Ridge and Shauna’s intimate scenes may involve faux flashbacks in the beginning. Regardless, Shauna will still be on Ridge’s mind and perhaps in his heart, too.
Even so, Brooke’s not out of the game! Never underestimate the power of a longtime love on The Bold and the Beautiful. This should turn into quite a battle for Ridge’s affection, and we know Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) will be involved along with Eric Forrester (John McCook).
