The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) could be headed for trouble. Earlier this year, B&B fans know Steffy developed an opioid addiction that landed her at a rehab facility. During that storyline, it became clear that Steffy’s pain wasn’t just physical.
In the end, Steffy wasn’t just coping with her motorcycle crash injuries. She was also battling intense emotional pain over losing Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and the life they might’ve had together. Steffy was addicted to Liam in a way – and now she’s obviously relapsed when it comes to her ex.
Does that mean Steffy might relapse when it comes to her pill addiction, too? It’d be easy for Steffy to call up lovestruck Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) and convince him to give her what she wants.
Vinny isn’t the brightest guy anyway – and he happens to think Steffy is the total package. Not to mention Vinny will be having a rough time of his own.
Vinny certainly cares about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), so it’ll be hard for him to think about losing his good friend. Thomas’ medical crisis may hit Vinny hard, so he’ll understand that things must be even harder for Thomas’ sister.
Steffy will have to deal with the fact that Thomas is in such bad shape, so that’s issue number one. Of course, issue number two is Steffy slept with Liam – and that shocker’s bound to blow up. Finn could easily break up with Steffy for betraying him with her ex.
There’s also the matter of Liam and Steffy’s unresolved feelings. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy and Liam will address those in the coming episodes.
During the week of December 7-11, Steffy will fret over potentially losing both Liam and Thomas. That makes it sound like Steffy will be hoping Liam bails on his marriage to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), but she’ll worry he won’t.
Since Liam’s probably going to put some effort into repairing the damage and saving “Lope,” where does that leave Steffy? We could see a very broken woman – one who has a brother struggling to survive, a boyfriend who dumped her and a former flame she’s lost all over again.
The Liam part may be especially important since he was so tied to Steffy’s first addiction. If Steffy gets her hopes up about reuniting with Liam and it doesn’t pan out, it could sink her back into a dark, dangerous pit of despair.
That’s especially true since Steffy may not have Finn and Thomas to lean on this time – at least not at first. Steffy may feel all alone and turn to pills again as a way to cope. Is all this building to Steffy’s relapse?
If so, that’d be a pretty easy exit strategy for Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s maternity leave. Steffy might need a longer rehab stint to make sure it actually sticks. Regardless, Steffy may at least be tempted to fall back into old habits. It’s something to keep an eye on as this story moves along.
