The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that it’s time for a new era on the show – the era of Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) new man! It’s been a long time coming for many B&B fans who have been clamoring for Steffy to get a non-Spencer love interest for a long time.
This week, July 20-24, Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will burst onto the scene as Steffy’s physician after she suffers a serious accident while she’s riding her motorcycle.
Well, it will probably take a while for Steffy and Finn to gravitate toward each other, but eventually it looks like they’ll start dating, and that will likely create some very new situations for not only Steffy, but for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) as well.
Of course, on paper Liam’s not going to be able to feel jealous of Steffy’s decision to move on, since he’s clearly chosen to form a family with Hope, Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez), and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
But the reality of the situation is that Liam will probably feel some jealousy pangs here and there as he watches the very handsome Finn woo Steffy. In fact, it could even cause a little drama between Hope and Liam if Liam can’t keep his jealousy in check.
But we suspect that the real drama might come from Liam’s concerns about Steffy’s new guy bonding with Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray) and becoming a male role model to his little girl.
Now, really Liam isn’t going to have much room to complain, since it was his choice to be a live-in dad to Beth and Douglas, leaving Kelly to see him only part-time.
Liam will likely do his best to make as much time to see Kelly as he can, but the reality of the situation is that he’ll almost certainly spend far less time with Kelly than he spends with Beth and Douglas. And as Finn spends more and more time with Steffy, he’ll necessarily be seeing Kelly a lot.
In fact, we could be looking at a situation in which Finn eventually ends up spending as much, if not more, time with Kelly than Liam does! And if that happens, it will probably cause Liam all sorts of angst and guilt.
Of course, Liam’s never been one to really think long-term about his romances and his family – he’s a classic waffler, and one wonders if he’ll waffle between his daughters in much the same way he did between Hope and Steffy.
At any rate, we have a lot to learn about Finn still, so we don’t know how he’ll ultimately take to Kelly, but if he turns out to be a great guy and ends up forming a strong bond with the little girl.
This could cause a lot of reflection for Liam about his family situation and might even lead to a little over-compensation in the fatherhood department, which could be humorous to watch.
We’ll see what happens here, but it sure looks like Liam may be in for a big dose of reality when Finn becomes a part of Steffy and Kelly’s life. Do you expect to see Liam get a little jealous as Finn spends more time with Steffy and Kelly?
