The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that the CBS soap is once again taking Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) down a crazy road. Many B&B fans are growing fed up with this repeat Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) obsession story. How many failed attempts at redemption can they do?
Thomas already tried to act like he changed when he manipulated Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) with the intention of marrying Hope instead. After that plot blew up in his face, Thomas supposedly changed through soul-searching and talking to Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) off screen.
Taylor obviously didn’t give Thomas enough help since he’s now fixated on a Hope mannequin that “talks” to him.
The Bold and the Beautiful has gotten a ton of media attention over their mannequin kissing stand-ins, so that’s undoubtedly a big part of why this is happening. It seems like it’s meant to be funny – and let’s be honest: it is!
You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who could sit through these Thomas and Hope doll scenes with a straight face.
Unfortunately, the humorous twist is further destroying Thomas’ character. Plenty of B&B viewers are wondering if this is really all they have for Thomas.
Can Thomas please have a story where he’s sane and wants a REAL woman who actually wants him back? It doesn’t seem like much to ask since all the other men on B&B have normal romantic stories.
The Bold and the Beautiful had an opportunity to keep Thomas on the right path and let him find healthy love, but they’re sinking him back into this weird Hope pit. Since B&B’s taken this path so many times already, this feels like it could lead to a turning point for the character.
Once this mannequin story leads to another downward spiral, what will be next for Thomas? He can’t just get advice from his mom again and expect to be cured.
The Bold and the Beautiful may have to send Thomas to a psychiatric facility. Thomas might need to spend some time in a mental hospital if B&B really wants to redeem the character and give him a proper, long-lasting place on the show.
Of course, we have to point out that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was written out through a storyline with wild behavior that trashed the character. Could the same thing happen to Thomas?
There’s always a chance B&B will just sink Thomas as low as he can go and send him out with a bang. Thomas could be killed off or shipped to that psychiatric facility we mentioned indefinitely.
Then again, Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) time in rehab went by lightning fast. Maybe it wouldn’t take all that long to cure Thomas of his mental issues off screen.
Unless Thomas gets a brain tumor or something else that can be fixed without real work on his part, a shocking death or psychiatric hospital help might be his only options. This seems like the last time fans will tolerate another Hope obsession plot, so we’ll see how things turn out for Thomas!
