The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) reunion could be halted by a familiar problem. There’s a lot of love between Ridge and Brooke, even when mistakes are made. However, the same old issues are constantly driving them apart. It may not be long until Ridge and Brooke find themselves on the verge of destruction again.
The Bold and the Beautiful fans will recall how Brooke and Ridge fought over Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and his motives. Ridge knew Thomas had his own problems that needed to be addressed, but he couldn’t turn his back on his son.
It was hard for Ridge to listen to Brooke badmouth Thomas and never have any faith in him at all.
Of course, Brooke ended up being right about Thomas, who was still scheming to get Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). Thomas hadn’t truly reformed and wasn’t even trying to work on his Hope obsession.
Ridge’s eyes were opened to Thomas’ true colors during all the wedding drama, which led to reconnecting with Brooke before that “Brill” kiss scandal exploded.
Brooke’s betrayal with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was yet another familiar issue for “Bridge.” It seems like Ridge and Brooke always fall into the same bad patterns. Now that Brooke’s working to Ridge back, will Thomas resurface as their next obstacle?
After all, Thomas seems poised to reform for real this time. He was certainly in a dark place following the wedding humiliation and has been off canvas for a bit. Thomas has likely been taking a long, hard look at himself in the aftermath. He may genuinely start to change, but is Brooke going to believe that?
It’s hard to imagine Brooke ever being able to trust Thomas, but Ridge probably will eventually. Thomas really let Ridge down, but he’s still Ridge’s son and always will be.
Nothing’s going to permanently break that bond, so Thomas may once again win Ridge over. It’ll take some work, but Ridge may believe Thomas has truly turned his life around.
If Brooke can’t see things Ridge’s way, Thomas could blow up “Bridge” once more. This could be a reminder that Ridge is never going to escape problems like this when it comes to Brooke. There’s just too much baggage, so they’ll always find themselves in familiar territory.
Will Ridge be pushed to seek a new beginning with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) instead? Shauna will definitely remain a factor as Ridge tries to navigate what his future’s going to look like. As other B&B news comes in, we’ll deliver updates.
