The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will make some changes in her life following an upcoming accident. One of those changes will involve a huge romantic shift! Steffy will truly let go of Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and eventually begin a new relationship with Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), who’ll help treat Steffy following her motorcycle crash.
Of course, Steffy’s loved ones are bound to voice their opinions on Finn eventually. That includes Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson)! At the end of Monday’s episode, The Bold and the Beautiful offered a great preview video of what’s to come.
Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) could be seen sporting longer hair and a beard, so this outward change is likely meant to reflect an inner one.
Whenever male characters go off the grid and come back looking scruffy, it suggests they’ve been holed up somewhere without much contact. The time away tends to make these characters emotionally distant upon returning – and that’s exactly how Thomas seems in the brief B&B promo clip.
Based on his demeanor, Thomas appears somber and is perhaps ashamed of his previous actions.
However, Thomas is Steffy’s brother, which means their bond is tough to break. The news of Steffy’s crash may even be what brings Thomas out of hiding. If Thomas gets updates on Steffy’s stint in the hospital, it’d probably be difficult for him to stay away.
Thomas tells someone to take care of his sister in the preview video, so he may offer that warning to Finn. It looks like Thomas will make it clear that he’s watching out for Steffy, but he might try to avoid meddling in Steffy’s love life again.
In other words, Thomas may want to be protective without being overbearing – just like a good brother should.
Thomas made a real mess when he roped Steffy into kissing Liam in front of Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). He’d be better off butting out when it comes to Finn and Steffy’s blooming love – at least for now. If Finn were to break Steffy’s heart down the road, that’d be a different story entirely.
Nevertheless, things are looking good for Steffy and Finn right now, so Thomas may support them until Finn gives him a reason not to! The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas will have a new attitude and some apologies to make, so stay tuned to B&B.
