The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Thursday, January 30, reveal that Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) approached Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) in the Forrester CEO office. Ridge assumed that she wanted to talk about work, but Quinn instead said that she wanted to talk about his “precious Logan.” Ridge was taken aback, and Quinn proceeded to go on about how he needed to tell Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) to back off.
Ridge seemed totally surprised to hear that Brooke was trying to sabotage Quinn’s marriage to Eric Forrester (John McCook), and he was in utter disbelief to hear that Brooke blamed Quinn for his kisses with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards). Quinn then ranted that Eric forced Shauna out of the guest house, and Ridge was floored.
Ridge then told Quinn to take a step back, and that Brooke was going through a lot right now. He proceeded to say that Brooke doesn’t deal with stress well, and that she projects it onto everyone else. He specifically mentioned that Brooke had a drinking problem before, and that seemed to strike a chord with Quinn. She then said that she wasn’t going to put up with Brooke’s meddling anymore, and that Brooke didn’t know who she was dealing with.
Meanwhile, at the Forrester mansion, Brooke visited with Eric, who relayed that Shauna had moved out. Brooke thanked Eric and said that she couldn’t believe that Shauna was kissing her husband. Brooke had an orange juice bottle with her that the took several sips from as she and Eric discussed her previous altercation with Quinn.
Brooke then told Eric that Quinn didn’t deserve his loyalty, and that the dark conniving side of her is still there. Brooke ranted, and Eric started arguing with her and raising his voice. Eric nearly shouted when he told Brooke to try to get along with Quinn, but Brooke said she couldn’t change her opinion. Eric then left for a meeting, and Brooke stayed behind to do a couple of emails.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) got a surprise visit from Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden). They chatted about how Shauna had moved back in with Flo, and Wyatt got the lowdown on Shauna’s kisses with Ridge. Flo wondered if Wyatt had heard anything from Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but Wyatt said that she had been really busy working on Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) line.
Wyatt noted that Sally just hasn’t seemed like herself, and that his attempt to break up with her completely backfired, as Sally didn’t want to hear any of it. He thought it seemed like Sally felt as if she couldn’t take on any more pain, and Flo said that it seemed like Sally was really hurting when she visited the apartment. Flo surmised that Sally was in denial, and they hoped that she had support to get through this.
In the Forrester design office, Sally sat having problems designing when Steffy came in to check on her. She immediately noticed that something was wrong and asked if Sally was ok. Sally, who seemed awfully agitated, said that she was just tired and that she hadn’t been sleeping well lately. She went on to say that she and Wyatt had been going through a rough patch lately, which Steffy was sorry to hear.
Sally went on about how she had said something she shouldn’t have said, but that she knows that Wyatt is the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with. As she was talking, she had to lean against a chair for support, which really worried Steffy. But Sally said that everything was fine, and that she had to get back to work. She then walked out into the hallway and struggled to stay upright.
At the hospital, Sally met with a doctor, who asked her some questions about what was going on. Sally said that she didn’t know, but that she had come here looking for answers. She stated that she’d been feeling off, having headaches, dizziness, and that she was under a lot of stress right now. As the doctor probed with questions, Sally admitted that her symptoms occur a lot and that she was worried that it might be something really serious.
Meanwhile, in the Forrester CEO office, Steffy and Ridge touched base about how Steffy’s line is doing. Steffy noted that Sally was acting really frazzled and that she didn’t want to add to her stress. Ridge noted that it must be something in the water, because Quinn and Brooke were at each other on a whole new level, and that it was turning into an all-out war.
Back at the Forrester mansion, Brooke looked angrily at Quinn’s portrait and sipped from her orange juice bottle. Quinn then appeared behind her and said, “Get over it, Brooke, it’s never coming down.” Quinn asked why Brooke was there and if she was going to make more demands of Eric. Brooke declared that she had spent more time in this house and with this family than Quinn ever will.
Brooke needled Quinn about how Eric doesn’t see her dark side, and that she hasn’t changed. She got more and more agitated as she ranted about how Quinn had a look in her eyes, and how she will do whatever she has to do to protect Eric. Brooke proceeded to call Quinn “trash” and rant about how she’s going to make sure Eric gets far away from her, and there will be nothing Quinn can do about it.
Throughout all of Brooke’s ranting and raving, Quinn stayed calm and collected, and she eyed the liquor bottles sitting across the room and a look flashed across her face.
