The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 23, reveal that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) chatted in the Forrester Creations CEO Office.
The Hope mannequin stood there creepily, and Hope said that she was unnerved by the mannequin. Hope then shifted the conversation to Steffy’s relationship with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and gushed about that for a while.
Hope said that she was happy for Steffy, and that she could tell that Finn cared about Steffy just like Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) cared about her.
That made Steffy a little uncomfortable. Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) materialized to take the mannequin out of the office, as Hope went on about how happy she and Liam were, and about how Steffy and Liam were in the past.
Just then, Liam walked in, and Hope continued going on about how happy she was for Steffy and Finn and about how they were all moving on from the past.
Liam and Steffy each squirmed as Hope continued to gush about how Steffy’s relationship with Finn would last…just like how her relationship with Liam has lasted.
Soon, Hope got a call and had to go, and Liam immediately shut the door to the office and started ranting about how this secret was eating him alive from the inside out. “I can’t do it,” Liam said. “I gotta tell Hope.” Steffy looked upset and exasperated.
Over in the Forrester Creations design office, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) talked up Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
Carter said that Paris’ credentials were impeccable and that she could really have a chance to shine and grow at the Forrester Foundation. Ridge was a little skeptical, but Carter kept on, saying that Paris would be a great fit.
Ultimately, Ridge agreed to meet with Paris and tell Eric Forrester (John McCook) about her as well. Carter noted that a bonus would be that having Paris in town to stay would make Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) very happy.
In the backstage area at Forrester Creations, Paris asked Zoe if she had done something wrong, and she noted that she had just done something nice by talking with Carter. Zoe seemed put off, and she noted that Paris didn’t need to be so involved in her personal life.
Just then, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) walked up asking what was going on.
Paris and Zoe downplayed the tension, and Zende said that he just got invited for an interview by Eye on Fashion. Zoe and Paris eyed Zende’s latest design, and Zoe gave her opinion of the design, then Zende asked for Paris’ opinion.
Paris was hesitant to speak, but she eventually said that it was one of the most beautiful gowns she’d ever seen.
Zoe got a text message and reluctantly had to run off, leaving Paris and Zende alone. Later, Zende was designing at a table backstage when he spilled coffee on his white shirt. Zende took off his shirt just in time for Paris to materialize and share a cute moment with Zende shirtless.
Back in the Forrester Creations design office, Carter flashed back to some good memories with Zoe, including when he asked her to marry him and she said yes. Zoe happened to walk by the office, and she stopped in.
Carter said he had something incredible in the works, but he wouldn’t tell Zoe anything about it. Carter did, however, say that he hoped Paris was here to stay. Zoe looked askew.
