The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers preview teases that Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) condition is going to be the cause of much concern. The new B&B preview promo for the week of December 7 is out, and it paints a pretty grim picture about Thomas’ well-being going forward.
As viewers will remember, Thomas collapsed at his apartment after having a major episode during which he was altered and talking to the Hope mannequin as if she were real.
This was all witnessed by Hope, and then Thomas keeled over and hasn’t regained consciousness since. Now, Thomas is at the hospital, and B&B spoilers say that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will make a terrifying diagnosis for the Forrester heir.
Exactly what that diagnosis will be remains to be seen, but it’s definitely looking like a brain injury or tumor of some sort, since the new preview indicates that Thomas will be having ongoing seizures as a result of his condition and is at risk of dying.
“Look at my boy,” Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) laments at the hospital. “He’s a fighter, he can get through this,” Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) says fearfully.
Finn then tells Steffy, Ridge, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) that Thomas’s seizures are getting worse. “We need to rush him to emergency surgery to try and stop the hemorrhaging,” Finn says tersely.
Both Liam and Hope look horrified by the news about Thomas’ deteriorating condition. “Is he going to be ok?” Liam asks. Of course, for Liam and Hope, this will come right after Liam has learned that Hope didn’t actually cheat with Thomas, so he’ll be feeling some conflicting emotions for sure.
Steffy then asks, “Is it a possibility my brother could die?” Ridge asks Finn to be straight with them in a scene in which it looks like surgery may have just taken place.
Finn is about to respond with an answer when the promo ends – this doesn’t sound good at all for Thomas, who may continue to be in awful shape even after the surgery. Of course, brain surgery is quite risky and delicate, so this is a big deal.
At any rate, it looks like Finn really needs to do some amazing work here, as Thomas’ life hangs in the balance. Of course, if Finn’s successful and Thomas makes a full recovery, then he’s going to be a hero to the Forrester family.
Fans will have to wait to see exactly what transpires next on Thomas’ journey to healing, but The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say it certainly looks like there will be some real touch-and-go moments for a while.
