The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) has crossed over into a new area of creepy. On the episode airing on Wednesday, October 21, Thomas got hold of a mannequin that’s in the likeness of Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), which apparently was sent back to the Forrester main offices from the Forrester boutique.
Clearly, the mannequin was part of a Hope For The Future campaign of some sort, and now Thomas has it as over at Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) apartment. Is this just too much, even for Thomas?
Thomas has supposedly made great strides in getting better. Viewers have heard a lot about how Thomas has been working on himself and getting help from his mom Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo), and about how Thomas has been making real headway in his relationship with Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
And it has even seemed that Thomas was accepting the fact that Hope was with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) now.
But then a couple things happened. First, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) returned to Los Angeles and threatened Thomas’ reign as lead designer for Hope For The Future. Hope decided that she wanted to work with Zende as lead designer, and Thomas seemed to seethe under the surface.
Thomas has been subsequently pestering Hope about working with both Zende and himself, but Hope just isn’t sure.
And then, out of the blue, Thomas received the Hope mannequin and decided to take it home with him. This is unsettling to say the least, and one wonders exactly where this is all going.
Is Thomas headed for another full-blown obsessive episode with Hope? Is Thomas going to try to manipulate Hope and Liam again into breaking up, or even worse? Is Thomas actually going to start talking to the mannequin and treating it like a person?
Either way, it’s pretty disturbing, especially since it seems that it’s time to give Thomas a real romance with someone new.
Of course, there’s always got to be scheming and manipulative characters on soaps so that there can be some drama, but the Hope mannequin was REALLY creepy, as was watching Thomas unbox it and note that the likeness was uncanny.
In the days to come, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that Thomas will once again worry Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) once she lays eyes on Thomas’ new designs that he submits for Hope For The Future.
That suggests that Thomas may use the likeness of Hope in his sketches, and it’s easy to see why such a thing would worry Brooke, especially given Thomas’ past behavior.
One wonders whether perhaps Thomas could wind up having a serious medical problem, like a brain tumor, that might end up explaining his weird behavior. Interestingly, Thomas did bump his head in a recent episode after dropping his phone, which could have been a clue that he’s having some coordination problems.
The Bold and the Beautiful buzz is that there could be an organic explanation for all of Thomas’ behavior over the past year or so. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that a soap pulled out the old brain tumor excuse!
We’ll see what happens here, but it certainly seems like Thomas’ bizarre behavior is leading up to something. Do you think that we’ll eventually find out that Thomas has a real medical problem?
