The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may change her tune when it comes to her disappointed father. Although Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) reinstated Victoria as CEO of Newman Enterprises, he admitted his daughter had lost his respect. Victoria suggested she could live with that, but can she really?
After all, Victoria seems to crave her father’s approval. That’s part of why getting on the Newman throne was so important to her. Victoria likely thought she was viewed as less capable than Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
It led to Victoria doing whatever it took to get and keep that CEO seat, but now Victor’s upset by just how far she took things.
Due to Victoria’s actions, Victor was no longer able to hide the truth about AJ Montalvo’s death from Adam. However, Victoria didn’t play any dirtier than Adam did. It’s hard to blame Victoria for fighting back after Adam stole the CEO spot she’d worked so hard for.
That’s especially true since Adam was already offered that spot and turned it down!
Nevertheless, Victoria may find herself feeling like more of an outsider from now on – at least in Victor’s eyes. There’s no way Victoria will be able to handle being on bad terms with Victor for long.
Y&R spoilers say Victor’s respect is too important for Victoria to lose it indefinitely, so how can she get it back? Making amends with Adam would be a nice start.
If Victoria can make peace with her brother, that would certainly impress Victor. This dad would be proud of Victoria for putting her own issues with Adam aside.
To take it a step further, Victoria might even steer Adam in the direction of therapy. Although Victoria didn’t have a formal therapy arrangement, it helped Victoria when she talked to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Maybe Adam could benefit from talking to Sharon as well. If Victoria can push Adam toward some sessions, that’d be another path toward reconciliation with Victor. Anything that proves Victoria wants to help instead of hurt Adam would be a good thing. The Young and the Restless fans know it’d mean a lot to Victor if his kids could learn to get along.
Once Adam works through his trauma, perhaps Victoria could even offer Adam the COO position. Victoria currently doesn’t trust Adam, but he can’t prove himself without another chance.
Likewise, Victoria can’t prove herself to Victor without major effort. This isn’t going to be pleasant for Victoria, but she may have to make some Adam sacrifices if she wants Daddy Dearest to respect her again.
