The Young and the Restless spoilers document that the 2020 Daytime Emmy Awards are returning to prime time broadcast television for the first time since 2011, as announced on The Talk. The two-hour ceremony will be broadcast on CBS a 8 p.m. ET on June 26, with winners and guests appearing virtually from their homes.
The forty-seventh annual ceremony was seen on cable TV starting in 2012, and was exclusively streamed online in recent years.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences had announced in March that the event, originally scheduled to only be streamed online, was canceled. Alternative plans at that time were just being formulated due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
