The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that plenty of new life will come into the world as the show braces for an inevitable death. You’ve probably heard of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Well, this is four babies and a funeral! If Y&R follows through on what they’ve hinted at, we should see one overwhelmed mom and three other potential mothers-to-be.
There’s also a looming demise that’ll result in a funeral and some tearful goodbyes, so let’s talk about all the highs and lows. First, we should discuss those babies!
1) Chloe and Kevin’s major family adjustment
Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) recently went to the hospital to give birth, so she’ll soon welcome her son home to the Chancellor mansion along with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). This will bring a major family adjustment and two incredibly exhausted parents.
Kevin may also revisit those fears he’s been battling about being a father to a little boy for the first time. Of course, it’s common for a health scare to occur with a new baby on a soap. That could be a strategy Y&R uses to stir up some fear for Kevin and Chloe, so it’s wise to be prepared for anything!
2) Elena’s baby bomb brings paternity mystery
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) recently cheated with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), so a baby bomb and paternity mystery seem to be in the works. The writing was on the wall back in August when Elena gushed about what good fathers both Nate and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) would be.
It probably won’t be long until Elena’s staring at a positive pregnancy test wondering, “Who’s the daddy?”
3) Abby’s risky pregnancy and new miscarriage fears?
There’s been a lot of kid talk lately between Abby and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) – including the mention of Abby’s miscarriage. Abby thought it over and decided to give Chance a “maybe someday” on the topic of starting a family, but someday might come sooner than she plans!
It just feels like all this baby drama is leading somewhere, so Abby may eventually get pregnant again. It could leave her facing a risky pregnancy and new miscarriage fears.
4) Summer’s baby saves ‘Skyle’ romance?
Summer Newman (Hunter King) is another character who might wind up with a bun in the oven. After all, there have been an awful lot of comments about how Summer’s glowing or how radiant she looks. What if that’s because Summer’s pregnant instead of just because of “Skyle” bliss?
Plus, we should think back to when Kyle and Summer revealed their plans to live together. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) immediately worried Summer was engaged, pregnant or both. Since Summer is engaged now, maybe a pregnancy revelation is looming.
Since Summer and Kyle’s elopement plans seem to be on the verge of falling apart, a baby surprise might be what keeps their relationship alive. It’d be ridiculous to put Kyle back together with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) at this point, so a “Skyle” baby might be the way to go.
5) Dina’s funeral and final farewell
Now that we’ve covered the kid chaos, let’s move on to the funeral. Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) is fading fast, so Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his sisters are trying to find the “teardrop of love” emerald before it’s too late.
Jack, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will hopefully succeed, but there’s no stopping Dina’s death and what will follow.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Dina will eventually lose her battle with Alzheimer’s, but maybe this emerald mission will offer some closure. It just might lead to new love for Jack as well, so there should be a sense of hope despite the grief that’s coming up.
