The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) and Donny Boaz (Chance Chancellor) are on the same page when it comes to their characters. It turns out their visions for Abby and Chance’s future line up perfectly. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Ordway and Boaz opened up about what they’d like to see for Abby and Chance moving forward.
For starters, Boaz hummed the wedding march, so he’s definitely hoping Chance will propose and marry Abby down the road. Ordway agreed that’s what she wants, too.
In fact, Ordway’s already imagining Abby as a mother! “I do want Abby to finally find her happily ever after,” Ordway said. “I would love to see them get married and have a family. Abby as a mom would be hilarious.”
Although Ordway knows there’ll inevitably be issues to tackle, she believes Abby has found her match in Chance. Boaz is also rooting for Y&R to stick with this pairing for a while, but he was clear about something he doesn’t want to play: a cheating storyline.
The Young and the Restless star is counting on Chance to be faithful to Abby.
Boaz suggested he’s not interested in “all the triangles on the side.” Instead, Boaz wants Chance to be a one-woman man who confronts challenges by Abby’s side. “I’d rather go on adventures and see how they handle them,” Boaz said. “I like these two as a couple. I don’t want to be a dumb-dumb like Arturo and cheat on her.”
Ordway jokingly told Boaz that he’d better not, so they’re in agreement on that, too. Abby’s been unlucky in love several times, but Chance could provide a shot at true bliss – at least as much as someone can have that on a soap!
Chance and Abby are sure to face problems, but maybe they can work through them as a team. It’s always refreshing when a couple’s able to survive the obstacles instead of letting those obstacles drive them apart.
