The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) marriage to Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will soon be in trouble.
Y&R fans know Chance and Abby have been all about baby talk lately. Even before Abby and Chance discussed marriage, they discussed starting a family.
Chance and Abby’s marriage just naturally grew out of that desire, so it’s a big deal for these two. However, Abby’s starting to get a little frustrated since the baby-making mission has been a failure so far. Although Abby was hoping to get pregnant by Christmas, that plan didn’t pan out.
At some point in the coming weeks, Abby may check in with her doctor – just to see if there’s anything she can do to speed this process along. Unfortunately, Abby’s line about possibly needing that fertility idol seems significant.
There’s a good chance Abby will learn she either can’t conceive another child or at least that it’s unlikely she ever will.
This news should crush Abby to the core, especially since Chance is so excited about starting a family with her. Abby was hoping to give Chance a house full of children, but now she’ll worry she can’t even give him one! Since Abby will feel like she’s letting Chance down, she’s probably going to push him away.
Once Chance eventually gets updates on Abby’s fertility problems, he’ll know it’s not her fault. This may be related to Abby’s previous miscarriage or something else, but none of it really matters because Chance loves Abby. It’s hard to imagine that suddenly changing because Abby can’t bear children.
Nevertheless, Abby may feel like Chance needs a wife who can give him what she can’t. We may see Abby demand a divorce or even act out in ways that might turn Chance against her. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby and Chance’s marriage will be in jeopardy as this 2021 crisis hits.
Although Chance might assure Abby that they can use a surrogate or adopt, Abby may not get on board with those ideas – at least not right away. In Abby’s mind, she may feel like divorce is the best option.
Abby will be dealing with a lot and not really seeing the big picture, so Chance is bound to be heartbroken and discouraged.
This could set up the possibility for betrayals with other people, so we’ll have to see how it all plays out!
