The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) have some highs and lows ahead of them. Y&R fans know Chance and Abby recently decided to start a family – and it looks like an engagement is just around the corner, too.
Since Abby and Chance are all in on this family plan, it probably won’t be long until Abby’s got a bun in the oven. That means Abby will eventually get pregnant and offer a big announcement.
Of course, there’s always the possibility this baby news could be pried out of her sooner than planned.
It’d be easy to guess if Abby passes up alcohol at an upcoming gathering or something along those lines. Ashley knows Abby and Chance want to have a baby, so she’s quite eager to become a grandmother – even if she doesn’t actually want to be called Grandma!
In other words, Ashley will be looking for any signs that Abby might be expecting in the coming weeks. If Abby offers any clues at all, you can bet Ashley will pick up on them.
However, Ashley won’t be the only excited grandmother in the picture. Chance’s mom will pop in for a couple visits before you know it.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tricia Cast will reprise her role as Nina Webster in early November and once again during the week of November 30-December 4, which is when Y&R will celebrate its 12,000th episode.
Chance will reunite with his mom and fill her in on his family intentions, so let’s hope Nina will be supportive.
Could that 12,000th episode be when Abby ultimately goes public with some pregnancy news? There’s bound to be some sort of shindig going on – perhaps an engagement bash that’ll end up serving as an expectant parents party as well.
Then again, it could be some other major gathering. The point is it’ll be a big deal due to the episode count – and that could pose a risk to Abby’s baby.
Back in February, The Young and the Restless celebrated 40 years of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) by tying it in with Newman’s 50th anniversary gala. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) got stabbed at that party, so there’s no reason to think the 12,000th episode will be without danger!
When there’s a huge milestone to celebrate, Y&R always brings perilous drama.
If Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) revenge on the Newmans goes too far or another threat arises, Abby could find herself at risk for another miscarriage. There’s bound to be a scare considering Abby’s trepidation before she decided to head down this pregnancy path again.
Bottom line, Abby’s pregnancy announcement should set up some dangerous drama. Will Abby actually have this kid or would Y&R be cruel enough to let her lose yet another child? Will Abby and Chance’s baby bubble burst? We’ll keep you posted as other updates come in.
