The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will continue to struggle with the memories he’s uncovered. Adam was told he was protecting his mom, but that wasn’t the whole story. In reality, Adam’s attack wasn’t fueled by fear. By Adam’s own admission, it was about rage. Adam wanted AJ Montalvo to die right there on the floor.
Although Adam certainly has remorse now, he didn’t back then. That’s left Adam with all kinds of questions about who he is as a person. Adam feels like this desire to kill has been inside him ever since he was a boy.
Of course, this is something that happened when Adam was just 11 years old – and AJ was indeed threatening Hope Wilson (last played by Beth Toussaint). If anyone’s going to be prosecuted, it’s Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for the cover-up. It’s hard to imagine Adam facing any kind of legal consequences here.
However, that may not be good enough for Adam, who’s feeling guilty and perhaps believes he deserves to pay. There’s surely a reason Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is suddenly stepping up as Adam’s friend again.
There’s also a reason why Adam’s life-saving efforts in Vegas are coming back up. It’s quite easy to connect the dots when it comes to these stories.
Adam killed a man to protect Chance in Sin City, but they’ve always been clear on Adam not meaning to. It was just a situation that got out of hand, so Adam had to think fast.
Armed with this new Kansas information, Adam may not be so sure about his motives in Vegas anymore. Will Adam start to wonder if rage was behind that incident, not fear – just like on the farm in Kansas?
Adam may convince himself that he just wanted to kill. He might start to believe it’s some twisted need of his or at least his go-to response to a crisis.
Even if Chance can make Adam believe Vegas was indeed about protection, Adam may think he has to pay for AJ’s murder. He might decide that paying for this other man’s death is the next best thing.
During the week of September 7-11, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will make a stunning announcement. If the AJ story goes public by then, Adam might hold a press conference or at least call a family meeting to share his plans.
Adam might make a confession and vow to turn himself over to the cops. He could come clean about killing both AJ and that man in Vegas.
Will Adam get himself arrested and maybe even Chance, too? Y&R fans can expect Chance to get caught in the upcoming chaos, so Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) isn’t going to like what plays out! We’ll give you updates as other news becomes available.
