The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may become a very tortured soul once he realizes Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) right. Adam will have to do some reflecting on his life and who he really is. When it comes down to it, Adam may determine that he’s got evil inside him.
Adam was trying to show off his impressive blackmail skills and show his father they were just alike. He felt like Victor would’ve done the exact same thing in his position. However, the truth is Victor was in Adam’s position and did nothing. Victor fully intended to take the secret of how AJ Montalvo died to the grave.
Of course, Victor also mentioned knowing about Adam and Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) connection last year. Y&R has never revisited that conversation, but Victor basically wanted Adam to know that he knew. It was implied that Victor was aware of what went down in Vegas.
That makes sense considering Victor ultimately found Adam living there as Spider and tried to jog his memory. Victor was keeping tabs – and honestly, he’s the kind of guy who knows all anyway! With that in mind, it adds another secret death that Victor’s been hiding for Adam’s sake.
Now that The Young and the Restless fans are in the loop on the whole Vegas story, it makes this Kansas secret even more interesting. When Adam was a boy, he killed AJ to protect Hope. Once Adam grew up, he killed this Vegas baddie to protect Chance.
Naturally, Adam might face guilt over AJ’s demise due to how he treated Victor. AJ was also the father of Adam’s childhood friend, Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico). That could bring some guilt for Adam to battle, too.
As Adam pointed out when he thought Victor murdered AJ, a life was lost – no matter how much of a scumbag AJ might’ve been. That was Alyssa’s dad and she lost him forever.
Adam wouldn’t face charges over what happened in Kansas, but he certainly would for what happened in Vegas. Adam noted that it wasn’t going to look like an accident if the truth came out, especially since he covered it up with Chance.
Since Adam may think he needs to shield Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) from his dark side, he might decide the slammer is the best place for a killer like him.
Adam may end up feeling like he has to accept responsibility in some way. Confessing to what went down in Vegas could be Adam’s atonement for Kansas.
Will Adam turn himself in for his Vegas crimes? Chelsea would undoubtedly beg Adam not to destroy their family, but Adam might feel like this is something he has to do. “Chadam” could be torn apart by a shocking confession and prison – at least temporarily!
