The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Guilty of Two Murders - Vegas & AJ Montalvo Deaths Both Lead Back To CEO Thief?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could soon be in for a couple of big surprises. As Y&R viewers know, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) knows all about Adam and Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) big Las Vegas secret…that Adam killed a man, then he and Chance covered it up. And even though Adam was acting in defense of Chance, they were afraid that no one would believe it.

Well, there’s always the risk that Phyllis will spill Adam and Chance’s secret, and if so, Adam could wind up in serious trouble, and even pursued for murder. Of course, that would depend on Phyllis still having a recording of Adam and Chance discussing the killing, which is up in the air at this point.

But knowing Phyllis, she might still have access to the recording, despite the fact that Chance and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) stole a copy of the recording from Phyllis’ safe deposit box. Phyllis could still have a copy stashed somewhere, and the Vegas death could come back to bite for Adam.

That would be hard enough for Adam to deal with, but now it’s looking like he will find himself at the center of another death investigation, this one involving a murder from many years ago.

As Y&R viewers know, Adam had his childhood friend, Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) do the legwork to dig up dirt on the mysterious death of her loan-shark father, AJ Montalvo.

Alyssa dug up evidence showing that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) paid off the coroner who did the autopsy on AJ’s body to alter his findings so that AJ’s murder looked accidental.

As it turned out, the coroner talked and told Alyssa that AJ’s body had been moved, and that his death most certainly did not happen as a result of a simple accident.

Then, thinking that he had damning evidence that Victor committed murder, Adam smugly approached Victor and made his demand to be CEO of Newman Enterprises…or else he’d release Alyssa’s story and all the evidence pointing to Victor covering his own murder of AJ. And Adam’s tactic appeared to work, since Victor acquiesced and gave Adam the CEO seat.

But Y&R viewers also know that Victor privately told Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that he didn’t murder AJ, and Nikki could tell that something else was going on here.

Victor didn’t verbalize anything to Nikki, but given that Y&R spoilers say that Adam’s big plan will backfire spectacularly, we suspect that Adam is in for a very rude awakening.

Alyssa and Adam are under the belief that Victor killed AJ after he threatened Adam’s mom, Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman), and that the reason Victor paid off the coroner was to protect himself.

But what if there’s a big twist here, and Victor paid off the coroner to protect someone else…like Adam himself? What if a young Adam stepped in to protect his mother, who was being harassed by AJ, and Adam ended up killing AJ?

It Adam killed AJ, then it would certainly make sense that Hope would call Victor to come handle the situation. It would make sense in that circumstance for Victor to pay off the coroner, too, in order to protect Adam.

And Adam has said fairly recently that he doesn’t have clear memories of that time in his life – sure, he was young, but he could also be suppressing the memories of killing AJ.

We’ll see where this goes, but it’s entirely possible that Adam could soon be on the hook for the Vegas killing, only to learn that he was also responsible for a man’s death back when he was young. That would certainly come as a blow, especially since Adam was banking on the fact that Victor was the one responsible for AJ’s death.
