The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will have to wrap his head around Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) AJ Montalvo revelation. Once Adam accepts that he’s behind AJ’s death, that’ll bring some pain to work through. However, there’s another bombshell that’s sure to hurt Adam sooner or later.
Y&R fans know Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) kept her breast cancer diagnosis quiet for the most part. Sharon initially kept her inner circle quite small, but she slowly expanded it as she grew more comfortable sharing.
Of course, there was one person Sharon specifically chose to leave out of the loop – and that’s Adam. The Young and the Restless viewers will recall that Sharon and Adam were close once upon a time. Even though Sharon eventually pushed Adam away, she didn’t cut off all contact.
Sharon helped Adam’s son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), out with therapy sessions. Adam certainly appreciated Sharon’s assistance, so they were on fairly good terms at that point. Unfortunately, Sharon still chose not to divulge this secret to Adam. It’s bound to sting when Adam realizes most of his family knew while he remained in the dark.
Victor, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and even Summer Newman (Hunter King) all know about Sharon’s cancer.
After hearing about this AJ shocker beforehand, Adam may wonder how many more secrets there are! It’ll be a tough blow when Adam realizes Sharon underwent surgery without saying a word.
Adam may even be a bit jealous of Nick as the favorite ex – the one who still serves as Sharon’s confidant. Nevertheless, Adam will ultimately have to put his hurt feelings aside and perhaps even consider why Sharon didn’t tell him.
Since Adam’s been causing so much Newman chaos, Sharon didn’t want to bring any more drama into her world. Sharon was already dealing with enough!
Once Adam gets updates on Sharon’s ordeal, he may reach out and apologize for not being the kind of man she could count on. This might be part of Adam’s journey down redemption road, which is hopefully the direction Y&R will take this storyline. It’s time for Adam to see how damaging his behavior is and turn things around.
