The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could end up pushing away the people who love him most. There’s always been a lot of talk about Adam’s dark side. Adam’s worried about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) inheriting that before, so that could be a fear that comes up again.
In the April 21 episode of Y&R, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) confirms that Adam killed AJ Montalvo. That revelation should lead Adam to do some soul-searching and realize perhaps this darkness is buried deep within him.
Adam thought he was a man Connor could be proud of. He gained a lot of confidence through this plan to gain the upper hand on Victor, but everything’s about to change.
What happens after Adam processes this shocker? Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will undoubtedly want to stand by Adam, but will he let her? Adam may shut Chelsea and Connor out for their own good. It seems likely we’ll see a lot of Adam torturing himself – just like we did back when Adam thought he killed Victor.
Adam may not want to leave town since that didn’t work out for Connor before, but he may think his influence should be kept to a minimum. Likewise, Adam may not think he’s the man for Chelsea anymore.
Adam might break things off and argue that Chelsea deserves better. Adam tends to sink to some pretty dark places when his world comes crashing down like this.
Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) relationship will inevitably implode.
This “Phick” reunion is destined to crash and burn, according to Josh Morrow, so that could leave Phyllis heartbroken and single. It could also leave Phyllis feeling like she’s not good enough for Nick, especially if she’s the one to blow things up again.
Could Phyllis and Adam connect in this similar state of mind? It’s an option since they were almost friends once upon a time. Phyllis truly cared about Adam and considered him a pal before he pushed her too far.
Adam infuriated Phyllis by encouraging her to seduce Nick, but he wasn’t wrong about what she wanted. It’s clear that Adam and Phyllis know each other quite well.
Phyllis managed to blackmail Chelsea and Adam with that Vegas recording for a while, so perhaps Adam and Phyllis are even. They could decide to let go of the past and come together as town pariahs. Nothing much will matter anymore if they feel like they’ve lost everything.
