The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will soon find himself with a major choice to make. Young Adam (Dane West) wants Adam to stop fighting his treatment and get the help he needs.
He views this as Adam’s chance to defeat the monster within, but will Adam take the advice?
Adam has definitely been digging his heels in and resisting treatment, but he’s bound to crack eventually. At some point, Adam should see that nothing will change if he continues sparring with the staff and having major outbursts. Perhaps that’ll be when Adam finally accepts the treatment and begins improving.
Of course, Adam is a pretty crafty character, so we can’t rule out the idea that he’ll fake his recovery. You can bet that’s what Adam’s siblings and most of Genoa City will assume down the road.
Think about all the drama Adam’s release will bring. Once Adam has supposedly improved and emerges as a free man, The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest there’ll be plenty of wary GC residents.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) probably won’t be one of them since he tends to have so much faith in Adam, even when his son doesn’t deserve it. After Adam’s doctors insist he’s well and free to go, Victor will have no reason not to trust them.
However, the rest of the Newman clan may not be so sure Adam has turned over a new leaf thanks to this facility.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) are never going to trust Adam, no matter how many doctors sign off on his mental health.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) won’t trust Adam either – and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) should remain concerned about more Adam chaos, too. After what happened to Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston), Abby can’t be too careful.
Y&R characters like Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) may wind up doubting Adam’s new-and-improved attitude as well. Even Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) may have to wonder if Adam’s truly changed.
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) could support Adam, but it may be Victor who takes a stand against the whole town and insists Adam is on a better path.
Victor has a lot of power and may want to make sure Adam can build a proper life for himself. In Victor’s opinion, Adam may not be able to do that until he steps out of his old shadow.
The Young and the Restless might even create a bit of a mystery by letting fans wonder if Adam’s truly recovered or not! Whatever the case, Adam has some gripping scenes ahead – and we’ll give you updates as other all the latest news comes in.
