The Young and the Restless spoilers document that the comments of two Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle and Heather Tom) appeared in one marvelous Instagram post. Y&R fans know that Heinle currently plays Victoria and that Tom preceded her in the cast.
Heinle posted a wonderful video of her dog. Walter stairs intently into Heinle’s eyes. The named reference comes from an Instagram page @Walterandpopo, that Walter shares with his brother, Popo.
Aside of the video Heinle said, “And my furry babies too!!!!”, with a link to Walter’s shared Instagram page, where various photos of the dog brothers appear.

Hardcore Y&R fans surely got a kick out of seeing the first reply to Heinle’s comment. Tom, who’s played Katie Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful since 2007 said, “Your hair is amazing.”, followed by a kissy-face emoji.
Tom’s compliment on Heinle’s hair, which she appears to be letting grow during the production shutdown, reminded fans of the baton toss that was given from one actor to the next fifteen years ago.
Tom was cast to play the then SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) version of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) firstborn child in 1990. She was Vickie through 2003.

Heinle became the recast in 2005. Her tenure has included the creation and many subsequent editions of Villy, which saw four actors play her soulmate, with Jason Thompson (Billy) currently handling that honor.
Victoria and Billy have two children together, Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) and Johnny Abbott (Ryan and Holden Hare), who is Billy’s son with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Vickie is Johnny’s mother through adoption.
Life intersected with reality as Heinle and Thad Luckinbill (J.T. Hellstrom) became a couple on- and off-screen. The actors have two children together in real life. In Genoa City, Wisconsin, Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) is their only child.

Vickie has enjoyed varied success through the years. More recently she’s just regained the Chief Executive Officer’s spot atop Newman Enterprises, with her brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), being fired by their father.
Tom won two Daytime Emmy Awards (1993 and 1999) for her portrayal of Victoria. Heinle also earned two Emmy’s (2014 and 2015) for playing Vickie on Y&R. So, the show and its fans have been well served by having both ladies in the cast through the years.
