The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) could use something to shake up her world in 2021. Lola hasn’t been doing much lately other than supporting her friends and family. That’s a perfectly nice thing to do, but Lola could use a real story with the potential to bring drama to her life.
In the December 30 episode, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) drops an interesting hint in his dialogue. He wonders if Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will be contributing to the Rosales baseball team anytime soon.
Rey offers a firm “no way,’ so Arturo asks about Lola’s chances of adding to the league – meaning having a baby.
That’s obviously a weird thing to ask someone who’s recently divorced and not dating anyone, which Lola basically points out. She brings up her newly divorced status and the fact that she works nights before suggesting she has no prospects. Lola jokes that she’ll get right on that though, so all of this is interesting.
Naturally, this could just be a random conversation and nothing more, but there’s no doubt that it’s strange. Why is Arturo asking Lola about having children when she’s not in a relationship or seeing anyone at all for that matter? Could this be a clue about a baby bombshell for Lola in 2021?
Perhaps Lola will indeed find a new man and face a pregnancy shocker. It only takes one time, so even a one-night stand would get the job done. That’d be an intriguing storyline for Lola in the new year – and it could even connect to another baby-related Young and the Restless story.
Lola is good friends with Abby Newman-Chancellor-Abbott (Melissa Ordway), who desperately wants a baby of her own. Unfortunately, Abby may not be able to have one based on the hints Y&R’s offered so far. It might be impossible for Abby to conceive a child, so adoption could be on the table.
It’d be interesting if Lola ends up with an unwanted child following a hot hookup. Although Lola has admitted casual romances aren’t really her thing, sometimes desire can take over.
Anything can happen if the story calls for it. Abby could use a baby, so maybe she could get one through Lola if Arturo’s clue turns into something more.
Of course, another way to go would be Lola tackling a pregnancy challenge and embracing motherhood. It would really pour salt in the wound for Abby if her close friend’s having a baby and Abby isn’t.
Whatever the case, Arturo’s hint was odd and might mean a baby drop will drop on Lola sometime in 2021! We’ll bring you updates as other Y&R news rolls in.
