The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will land himself in hot water. There’s been a lot of talk about the potential for Billy to revert back to the dark side. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) doesn’t want to see Billy’s vengeful desires bring out the worst in him again – like when his alternate personality took over and tried to mow down Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Even after Billy battled his inner demons, that gum-chewing version of himself was still there under the surface. Back when Billy still worked at Jabot, he warned Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about how untrustworthy Theo was.
Billy ranted about how Theo was bad news before he reached for a stick of gum and then stopped himself.
Flash-forward to when Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) decided to hire Theo at Chancellor Communications. Billy brought up his previous distrust of Theo before going back and forth on whether they should hire him. By the time Theo exits, Billy and Lily may be sorry they brought Theo on board!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will become a top suspect in a shocking whodunit. Billy is used to publishing big stories, but he’s not used to being the subject of one. It turns out Billy will face a ton of media attention and scrutiny as the cops investigate.
Lily will rush to Billy’s defense and will defend the company, too. It’ll be a massive mess for Billy and Lily to tackle together. All that’s left to do is figure out what this whodunit is all about. Based on the clues we mentioned and the knowledge that Theo’s exit is rapidly approaching, a deadly sendoff for Theo seems likely.
Will Billy be accused of murdering Theo? There are naturally going to be other suspects if Theo dies, but Billy might even be framed by someone like Adam. Then again, it could be terrible luck that leaves Billy with no alibi after publicly berating Theo and firing him.
After Theo sues for Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) fortune and infuriates Billy’s siblings, Billy should be livid as well. He may blast Theo and insist on firing him – perhaps even at Society for all to see and hear exactly how much he despises Theo.
Regardless, Theo’s connection to Chance Comm and Billy could spell trouble. There’s no confirmation on Theo being the whodunit victim, but it makes sense under the circumstances.
Y&R fans can expect Billy to land on the hot seat in this looming mystery no matter what. Billy will surely be innocent, but it sounds like the media’s going to get a new monster!
