The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Billy’s Impulsive Decision Ruins Chancellor Communications - Jill Forced to Fire Son?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) impulsive nature is going to do an awful lot of damage in the days to come. As Y&R viewers know, Billy has had Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) working on an explosive story about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and his killer instincts.

The working title for the story goes something like “the making of a monster” and it’s all about how Adam killed AJ Montalvo as a young boy and then grew up to try to kill his own father – the man who covered up the AJ killing in the first place.

The whole thing got kicked off when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) went to Billy with the story, and Billy totally ran with it.

But all along, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) have been telling Billy that everything about this major story needs to be vetted carefully, and that they need to approve whatever ends up being published…IF it even gets published.

Well, Billy has been of the mindset throughout this whole process that the story is going to get published his way, and that it’s going to be payback for some very personal vendettas that Billy has against Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Billy is itching to get the story published asap, as he’s not really one to wait to do anything. And Y&R spoilers for the week of September 28 indicate that Billy will end up publishing the story way before he should – and way before Lily and Amanda place eyes on the narrative.

This won’t have good consequences for Billy. Of course, he’ll have some sense of satisfaction over doing something that will make Adam and Victor look bad in the eyes of the public, so he’ll get the momentary thrill and anticipation of his big move.

But almost as quickly as Billy hits “publish” on the story, Lily will demand to know what Billy had just done, and from there, things should pretty much go downhill.

Billy will end up having a tense conversation with Lily, and Amanda isn’t going to be thrilled with the slew of legal consequences that Chancellor Communications will have to face for running the story, either.

As Y&R viewers know, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) already threatened Lily with legal consequences if Billy’s big story ended up harming the Newman family. In fact, Nikki insisted that Victor would grind Chancellor Communications into the dust!

Could Nikki’s words be foreshadowing what’s to come for Chancellor Communications? Billy’s impulsive action with respect to running the story before proper vetting could very well lead Victor to take swift action against the new company.

Victor and/or Adam could certainly threaten legal action against Chancellor Communications, perhaps for slander, but Victor will probably have more swift and lasting action in mind.

Perhaps Victor will try to bring the entire company down through a series of high-powered business deals. Of course, since Victor is no longer CEO at Newman and Victoria’s in the top spot, that could get kind of tricky.

But this is Victor Newman we’re talking about here, and he’ll surely have ways of bringing Chancellor Communications to its knees.

And then there’s the issue of Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), who put Billy in charge at Chancellor Communications along with Lily.

Jill was straightforward about her desire, and that was for Billy and Lily to balance each other out – not for Billy to circumvent the entire process and make unilateral decisions about publishing risky stories that could ruin Chancellor Communications.

Jill might feel that she has no choice but to fire Billy on the spot. After all, if Chancellor Communications is nearly ruined by Billy’s decision, then it would only be right for Billy to get the axe.

Jill may very well be in the position of firing her own son from the company, and something tells us she’s going to be furious about that!

We’ll see what ends up happening here, but we suspect that Billy will be in a world of hurt, as will Chancellor Communications in general, especially after Victor starts making business moves and reaching out to the company’s key business partners.
