The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) could be in the prime position to help Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Y&R fans know Jack used to hate Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) guts, but they eventually found a way to make peace. When Jack believed Victor was dead, it seemed to affect him more than he thought it would.
Even though Jack’s had plenty of issues with Victor over the years, there’s a lot of respect between them. Jack can appreciate the lengths Victor will go to for his family and see the value of what Victor’s built at Newman Enterprises.
Despite the previous conflict between them, Jack and Victor are now able to chat in the same room together and throw back a drink. They’ve really come a long way!
Of course, Jack also has an interesting friendship with Adam – one that’s been somewhat neglected since Mark Grossman debuted in the role. Y&R throws in a few Jack and Adam scenes from time to time, but this would be a good opportunity to dive deeper.
The Young and the Restless might want to focus on this friendship and let Jack serve as a go-between for the Newman men.
This would be especially timely considering everything that’s happening with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Jack’s losing his mother – a complicated woman that Jack once resented but now understands a bit better.
Once Jack worked through a lot of old baggage, he began to see why Dina had made some of the choices she made. Jack’s eyes were opened to Dina being someone who did the best she could. Now Adam’s eyes should start opening about Victor, who protected his son from the AJ Montalvo truth for many years.
Jack isn’t afraid to call Adam out on his bad behavior, but he’s also more compassionate than many GC residents – including Adam’s own family members. It’s not like Adam has a ton of buddies he can rely on, so Jack could be useful as Adam works through his childhood trauma.
Maybe Jack can help Adam and Victor mend their broken bond since he was able to make peace with Victor himself. Would you like to see more of Jack and Adam’s friendship? Could Jack be the key to bringing Victor and Adam together?
