The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) may be forced to break his relationship with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) when Y&R returns to airing new episodes. While Chabs has been developing nicely, Chance knows that he must confront a deep mistake he made in the recent past, which could create serious consequences on new Y&R episodes.
It will prove intriguing to see if he chooses to tell Abby why their relationship must pause, or even end, assuming this projected plot direction happens. Abby’s many relationship stops and starts seemed to have given way to a real opportunity of achieving something lasting with Chance.

It isn’t reasonable to look back and say that Chance should have told Abby the specifics of what took place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The situation that he and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) were unexpectedly linked to resulted in a man’s death.
As viewers recall, Chance and Adam discussed the details when they took a brief trip to Vegas. Their open conversation let fans learn for the first time exactly what the connection was between both men, which is what Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was trying to ferret out for months.

Adam has been paying off the widow of the man he killed under the pretense that person is in the Witness Protection Program. Plot developments made it seem like the widow would eventually arrive in GC, due to the questions that she was continuing to seek in Vegas regarding her husband’s whereabouts.
Chance was an agent at the time Adam killed the man in question in self-defense. Boaz’ character committed a crime when he didn’t report what happened. So, he’ll either need to tell the truth and face likely arrest and jail, or potentially flee justice. Chance is a stand-up guy, so going on the lam seems unlikely.
In either regard, Chance would seem primed to choose a break with Abby, rather than asking her to wait for him while he’s facing consequences. Of course, soap fans know that a dramatic, plot-changing solution could always prevent Chance from going to jail as well as spare his arrest.
