The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) past profession left one open-ended problem. He was directly involved with covering up a crime, which was surely teased in order to create a reckoning.
Meanwhile, the woman he’s smitten with and appears to be at least a significant other, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), has two businesses to run. She’s not giving Chance less attention, but might not be able to use her keen insight to warn Boaz’ character before trouble persists.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Remains A Threat
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was trying to distract Chance after he arrived in town. But she wasn’t doing it as part of a romantic pursuit.
Instead, Phyllis wanted to learn what Chance’s connection was to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). That happened when she remotely listened to a foolish conversation Chance and Adam had at a bar in Vegas.
Phyllis was infuriated that Abby and Chance later destroyed the apparent only digital pieces of evidence she had that captured Adam’s verbal admission of murder. Lacking that intel, Phyllis has no way of neutralizing Adam.
Stafford’s character still knows what she heard and can find a way to play that against Adam if need be. That threat also makes Chance’s future unstable.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – In Pursuit Of A Suspect
As fans came to learn, Chance was in pursuit of a suspect when he happened upon Adam, who was then suffering from amnesia. Spider helped Chance escape the attack of the suspect Boaz’ character was pursuing.
A dangerous encounter had Adam prevent Chance from being harmed and also resulted in said suspect being killed. Adam and Chance spoke about the self-defense act, where the suspect lunged at Adam, in the conversation Phyllis overheard.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Climax Must Be Coming
Y&R wouldn’t write such extensive detail unless plans were in place to have the climax to this teased storyline play out. So, Chance faces the likelihood that his link to Adam’s actions will be revealed.
Both men’s involvement in not reporting this death was criminal. Adam had Chance’s back before, which means he probably will again. But Phyllis is the wild card, as she often is.
Phyllis’ temper and desire for payback could cause Chance to face charges, as Adam’s actions are purposely exposed to the authorities. Phyllis wouldn’t necessarily intend for Chance to be affected, but might not be able to control all outcomes.
