The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) Vegas problem will spill over into his personal life. He was hoping to keep Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) out of this mess, but that won’t be possible thanks to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). It turns out Phyllis will soon have blackmail on the brain, so Chelsea will become just as much a target as Adam.
Y&R fans know the Grand Phoenix was Phyllis’ baby. She was furious when Adam screwed her out of full ownership, so she’s always been a little bitter about that.
However, Adam really crossed the line when he urged Phyllis to seduce Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and help him win back Chelsea. Phyllis felt completely used and disrespected, so she promised Adam would live to regret that move.
In The Young and the Restless episode airing February 14, Phyllis finally gets updates on Adam and Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) secret – and it’s deadly.
Adam killed a guy while protecting Chance, but it won’t look that way if it comes out. In other words, Phyllis could blow the lid off this and have Adam arrested for murder.
Of course, Phyllis will make it clear that Adam’s legal drama can be avoided…for a price. It turns out that price will be a steep one. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will demand Chelsea’s hotel shares – and Chelsea will have no choice but to hand them over.
She’ll be desperate to keep this Vegas news under wraps and help Adam avoid going to the slammer.
The last time Adam was locked up for a murder he didn’t commit, he lost it and attacked a prison guard. Although Adam indeed killed the mystery woman’s husband, it’s clear it was justified.
However, there’s no proof of that, so Chelsea will worry about history repeating itself. She just got Adam back! Chelsea won’t be able to bear the thought of being separated from her true love again.
There’s also poor Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to consider. How in the world could the kid handle yet another major blow? Connor could really go off the deep end if his dad’s hauled off in handcuffs.
Bottom line, Chelsea will have to do whatever it takes to keep Adam a free man – even if it means Phyllis will be running both their lives for a while.
Once Phyllis gets started, there’s no predicting when she’ll stop! Phyllis can hold this secret over Adam until the end of time if she wants – or at least until it inevitably comes out another way. For now, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will work hard to protect Adam and keep their family intact.
