The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) bound to be feeling pretty low after the truth sinks in. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) revealed what really happened that fateful night in Kansas. Adam killed AJ Montalvo as a kid, so that’s something he’ll eventually have to come to grips with.
When you tack on the other deaths Adam’s caused in his lifetime – like Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) demise and the death of that woman’s husband in Vegas – Adam could start thinking he’s a monster. He may need something to help him overcome this mentality that he’s a killer who always leads to pain.
What would be a good way for Y&R to help Adam cope and move on? Is there a writing strategy that could put Adam on the path to redemption? Perhaps the best plan would be to set Adam up as a hero! Adam will be focused on the lives he’s taken, so The Young and the Restless should let him save a couple lives as part of the healing process.
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) are the people who matter most to Adam, so maybe Adam could step up for them. It wouldn’t be the first time Adam’s stood against a threat to his family.
Back when Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) showed up in town, Adam refused to back down from a fight. There was no way Adam was going to let any harm come to Chelsea or Connor. Considering Chelsea’s shady history, old enemies could surface at any moment. Chelsea’s con artist background is always going to leave the door open for vengeful people to hit Genoa City.
Calvin Boudreau (John Burke) was clearly no saint either since he had dirty money and was connected to baddies like Simon. There could be other adversaries that pop due to Chelsea’s late husband. The Young and the Restless could certainly use a new villain to shake things up. The nastier, the better!
Would you like to see Adam pull off a heroic rescue and redeem himself? After all the blackmail drama that’s gone down at Newman Enterprises, Adam could use a positive road to head down. Saving Chelsea and Connor might help rebuild Adam’s self-esteem after this Kansas crisis. The “Chadam” family could come out even stronger on the other side!
