The Young and the Restless spoilers has some wonderful news to pass on about Courtney Hope, a popular Bold and the Beautiful star who is headed to Y&R. As viewers of B&B know, Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) time on the show came to an abrupt end recently, which left fans of the character dismayed.
But now, Courtney Hope has revealed on social media that she’s headed to Y&R, and that’s got fans of both shows thrilled for the actress.
On Instagram, Courtney posted a photo of herself wearing a Y&R hat and t-shirt, and holding a Crimson Lights mug. Courtney’s caption reads: “This seems like a good fit!”
Courtney’s role on Y&R has not been announced, so it’s possible that she could either play a totally new character or she could bring the character of Sally Spectra to Genoa City.
It would make sense for Sally to show up in Genoa City for a couple reasons. First off, Sally is completely heartbroken and down-and-out after her breakup in Los Angeles with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks).
Sally will probably want to get out of the Los Angeles scene and start over somewhere else, and Genoa City might be just the place for her to go, especially if she thinks there could be a future for her at, say, Fenmore’s.
Long-time B&B viewers will remember that the elder Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley) and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) were partners in crime back in the day, and they worked together and had their share of schemes.
It wouldn’t be a stretch for Courtney Hope’s Sally to show up on Lauren’s doorstep in Genoa City looking for a new opportunity in fashion, perhaps with Fenmore’s.
Of course, it’s also possible that Courtney Hope will be playing an entirely new role on Y&R, which could be exciting as well. Either way, fans are already getting excited about Courtney’s announcement about moving to Y&R.
In response to Courtney’s Instagram post, one fan wrote: “Yessss! My favorite soap & actress…can’t wait to see the plot! Love U Courtney!”
And someone else commented: “That’s soooo exciting!!!” Clearly, fans are happy about Courtney’s move – she was quite a force as Sally Spectra on B&B, and it will be great to see her back on the soap scene.
Right now, there’s no word on when Courtney will begin taping at Y&R or when she’s expected to first air, but we’ll keep you posted.
